Curry Brand is spending the summer on the road, returning to Asia for multiple stops of the upcoming Curry Brand World Tour. The first-ever global jaunt for the brand kicks off in the Bay Area in mid-August when Stephen Curry will welcome top high school talent from around the country for his ninth annual camp. Meanwhile, Curry Brand athlete De’Aaron Fox will simultaneously headline the Asia leg of the tour, making appearances in Tokyo, Hong Kong, and Xi’an. The tour will culminate in Chongqing, China, where the two will reunite for the Asian debut of Curry Camp and Curry Con, a basketball immersion activation.

The third film in the Dune series has officially been titled Dune: Part Three, despite rumors that the movie might be called Dune Messiah, a nod to the 1969 book of the same name. Directed by Denis Villeneuve, Variety reports that select scenes will be shot with IMAX cameras, but not the movie in its entirety. Production is set to begin in the near future, with a targeted release date of December 2026.

NBA MVP, Finals champion, a historic supermax extension, and now, Oklahoma City Thunder superstar Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is adding NBA 2K26 cover athlete to his resume. No word yet on when the latest edition of the NBA 2K series is scheduled to be released, although it’s expected to drop in September. SGA led the Thunder to a title after compiling a 68-14 regular-season record while averaging 32.7 points, 6.4 assists, and five rebounds per game.

Kendrick Lamar‘s hit single “Not Like Us” has sold over 10 million units in the United States, making it eligible for RIAA Diamond certification. Lamar dropped the song in May 2024, going on to claim all five of its Grammy nominations, including Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Rap Performance, Best Rap Song, and Best Music Video. He also performed the song as part of his halftime show at Super Bowl LIX.

Nike officially unveiled the latest iteration of Sabrina Ionescu’s signature sneaker line on Tuesday, the Nike Sabrina 3. Features of the new shoe include a combo of a forefoot Air Zoom unit and Cushlon 3.0 midsole, while a new traction pattern emerges underfoot, with a bespoke “S” design to celebrate the New York Liberty superstar. Nike is also dropping an accompanying apparel collection alongside the Sabrina 3 on July 24.

USWNT forward Catarina Macario has joined the Nike family, replacing Adidas as her official shoe and apparel sponsor. According to Forbes, Maccario’s deal is worth $10 million over 10 years, with options in the final two years of the deal. Combined with her salary, which Forbes estimates is roughly $1 million, Macario is set to take home over $2 million in 2025-26, excluding any USWNT or brand appearances.

Breakout Bridgerton star Luke Newton has been cast as Lee Alexander McQueen in a new Off-Broadway play beginning next month. House of McQueen, which chronicles the late designer’s life, begins previews Aug. 19 at The Mansion at Hudson Yards, with an official opening set for Sept. 9. Widely known for portraying Colin Bridgerton in the hit Netflix series, Newton’s London stage credits include The Book of Mormon and, most recently, The Shape of Things.

Saniyah Hall, the No. 1 recruit on ESPN’s high school girls’ basketball rankings for the Class of 2026, is officially a Jordan Brand athlete, the company confirmed Tuesday. The star guard, who transferred to SPIRE Institute in Ohio after playing last season at Montverde Academy in Florida, has not yet made her decision on where she will play college ball and is still considering offers from USC, UCLA, UConn, Maryland, and Ohio State.

The U.S. Soccer Federation and The Soccer Tournament (TST) announced a new strategic partnership on Tuesday, in which U.S. Soccer will work to expand the TST’s reach and relevance while highlighting alternative soccer formats such as the 7v7 organization. Attended by more than 50,000 footy fans, last month’s TST event in North Carolina awarded a $1 million prize for both men and women, featuring 134 matches and 64 teams (48 men’s and 16 women’s).

Starting in Phoenix, Waymo is now offering accounts for teens aged 14 to 17. Kids must be linked to an account through a parent or guardian, and adults of eligible teens can use their own Waymo account to invite them into the program, ensuring they can follow the rides from afar. The autonomous driving company also promises “specially trained” remote operators to assist during the rides and even connect with the teen’s parents if necessary.
