The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame unveiled the 2025 class of inductees on Sunday night, and entering music history are OutKast, Cyndi Lauper, The White Stripes, Chubby Checker, Bad Company, Soundgarden, and Joe Cocker. Salt-N-Pepa and Warren Zevon are also a part of this year’s class despite not appearing on the slate, with both receiving Musical Influence awards. The ceremony will be held on Nov. 8 at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, while festivities will stream live on Disney+.

CNBC and Boardroom announced the return of the wildly popular Game Plan Summit for a third year on Monday. The invite-only gathering brings together industry leaders, visionaries, and rising stars to discuss the dynamic intersection of business, sports, music, and entertainment. The one-of-a-kind event will take place Sept. 16 in Los Angeles. Past speakers include JuJu Watkins, CC Sabathia, Jessica Alba, and MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred. Panelists and speakers for Game Plan Summit 2025 will be announced in the coming months.

Fanatics Collectibles announced a new multi-year partnership with Ferrari driver Lewis Hamilton on Monday. Last Friday, the seven-time world champion appeared at the grand opening of Fanatics’ first flagship collectibles store on Regent Street in London. The collaboration includes an exclusive autograph and memorabilia deal, as well as the ability for fans to purchase ultra-rare relic cards and race-worn products, including uniform and equipment items.

Horror film Sinners earned an impressive $45 million this past weekend, a mere 6% drop from its $48 million debut. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Ryan Coogler-directed feature now holds the record for the smallest second-weekend dip of any film opening to more than $40 million since Avatar (2009) and any R-rated horror movie, period. Stateside, it has made $123.2 million, while its worldwide tally sits at an impressive $163.2 million.

The Washington Commanders are moving back into the District, confirming plans to build a new $3.7 billion stadium at the site of their former home, RFK Stadium. Estimated to open in 2030, the 65,000-seat venue will be built on a 180-acre site and feature a roof, allowing it to host events year-round. The D.C. Council still needs to approve the proposal for the project to move forward.

Billboard announced Monday the appointment of its first-ever CEO, Mike Van. The president of Billboard since 2022, Van will manage Billboard’s global brand presence in 15 countries, in addition to all aspects regarding strategy, revenue, business operations, live experiences, international licensing, and brand partnerships. Van will also supervise both the business and editorial teams, with the outlet’s editor-in-chief, Hannah Karp, reporting to him.

A new Formula 1 documentary chronicling Mercedes’ decision to promote 18-year-old Kimi Antonelli as its new driver following Lewis Hamilton’s exit to Ferrari is coming to Netflix. Called The Seat, the 45-minute project promises unique access into the private conversations held by Mercedes personnel via the messaging platform WhatsApp. Dropping globally on May 5, The Seat marks the first WhatsApp film to launch on Netflix.

IBM shared Monday plans to invest $150 billion in the United States over the next five years, including more than $30 billion to advance American production of its mainframe and quantum computers. The technology company hopes this financing will help accelerate America’s position as a global leader in computing and stimulate the economy.

Wrexham AFC, dubbed “Hollywood FC” thanks to its superstar co-owners Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds, is just one step away from competing in the Premier League after advancing to the system’s second tier, the EFL Championship. The Red Dragons defeated Charlton 3-0 on Saturday to clinch their third consecutive promotion. Since McElhenney and Reynolds bought the team for roughly $2.5 million in 2021, the club, which had previously flirted with financial abyss, recently reported $35.6 million in revenue for 2023-24, a 155% year-over-year jump.

Ahead of this weekend’s Miami Grand Prix, the first of three Formula 1 races in the U.S., Puma unveiled its first-ever White Miami Limited Edition capsule. Drivers Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc will sport the full-white look during race week, featuring exclusive Puma race suits, gloves, and Speedcat Pro footwear.
