Aaron Judge has joined baseball card royalty. His 2013 Bowman Chrome Draft Superfractor Autograph (1/1) sold for $5.2 million in a private deal brokered by Fanatics Collect, setting the record for the most ever paid for a modern baseball card. The sale tops the $3.936 million paid for Mike Troutโ€™s 2009 Bowman Chrome Superfractor in 2020 and ties for the seventh-highest sports card sale ever. Judge now joins Honus Wagner, Babe Ruth, and Mickey Mantle as the only baseball players with a card topping $5 million.

iHeartMedia and TikTok are launching TikTok Radio, a new station blending hit music with the creators, trends, and viral moments shaping the platform. Debuting March 13 at SXSW, the station will stream on the iHeartRadio app and broadcast across 28 U.S. markets. Programming will feature trending songs, creator commentary, and segments like Behind-the-Charts, New Music Fridays, and more.

Disney+ is launching its new short-form vertical video feed called Verts, bringing swipeable clips from its film and TV library to mobile users. The feature, debuting this week, will appear in the appโ€™s navigation bar and use a recommendation algorithm to surface scenes and moments tailored to viewers. Disney says Verts could eventually expand to include creator-led content and new storytelling formats to compete with TikTok– and Instagram-style experiences.

Google is rolling out Ask Maps, a new AI-powered feature that turns Google Maps into a conversational planning tool. Powered by the companyโ€™s Gemini models, users can ask complex questions and receive personalized recommendations, directions, and insider tips drawn from more than 300 million places and 500 million contributors. In other Google news, the company also officially closed its $32 billion acquisition of cybersecurity firm Wiz, initially announced in March 2025.

Barack and Michelle Obamaโ€™s media company, Higher Ground, is co-producing the upcoming Broadway revival of Proof, starring Ayo Edebiri and Don Cheadle, both making their Broadway debuts. The limited 16-week run begins March 31 at the Booth Theatre. Higher Ground joins producers Mike Bosner and Thomas Kail, bringing their storytelling expertise to the Pulitzer- and Tony-winning play.

Leviโ€™s has signed Rosรฉ to a multi-year global partnership, expanding the K-pop starโ€™s relationship with the denim brand after appearing in its โ€œBehind Every Originalโ€ Super Bowl commercial. The collaboration will run throughout the year with campaigns and an exclusive product collection inspired by Rosรฉโ€™s personal style. One of her custom Leviโ€™s stage outfits from recent performances is also on display at the brandโ€™s Harajuku store in Tokyo.

Uber is introducing Uber Elite, a new premium chauffeur service aimed at corporate and executive travelers. The offering will become the most expensive ride tier on the app, featuring luxury vehicles like the Cadillac Escalade and Lucid Air, plus amenities such as bottled water and phone chargers. Riders must book at least an hour in advance. The invite-only service is debuting in Los Angeles and San Francisco, with New York City next and broader expansion planned.

Netflix is officially moving forward with a sequel to its record-breaking original movie, Kpop Demon Hunters. The streamer has signed multi-year writing and directing deals with Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans to helm the follow-up, though a release date has not been announced. Dick’s Sporting Goods reported a stronger-than-expected holiday quarter but issued weaker profit guidance for 2026 as it continues integrating its $2.4 billion acquisition of Foot Locker. UFC is teaming up with the FBI for a first-of-its-kind training seminar at the FBI Academy in Quantico on March 14โ€“15. The PWHL will make its U.S. national TV debut on March 28 when the New York Sirens face Montreal Victoire in Detroit. Universal Pictures is extending its theatrical windows, reversing its pandemic-era strategy of quick home releases. In 2026, Universal films will play exclusively in theaters for at least five weekends, rising to seven weekends in 2027 before streaming or home release. The move reflects a broader industry effort to restore the value of the big-screen experience amid changing audience habits.
