Jake Paul, Mike Tyson to Fight on Netflix in Live Boxing Match

Social media star-turned-boxer Jake Paul will fight former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson live on Netflix, it was announced Thursday. Paul, 27, will take on Tyson, 57, on July 20 at AT&T Stadium in Texas. Tyson, who last competed in the ring in 2020, was boxing‘s undisputed world heavyweight champion from 1987-90 and retired in 2005 after winning 50 fights, 44 by knockout. In a post on X, Paul seemed deterred by those statistics and staked his claim about why he will beat the veteran boxer. “He’s the greatest heavyweight of all time…the most vicious KO artist ever. But I’m younger, I’m faster and I’m going to be working my ass off to get stronger,” Paul asserted.

Boardroom’s Shlomo Sprung has more on the future of live sports at the streaming giant.

Rucker Park Could Be Made a Federal Landmark in Proposed Congress Bill

Representative Adriano Espaillat (NY-13) introduced legislation on Thursday that would make Rucker Park a federal landmark. Joined by Harlem Globetrotter Bobby “Zorro” Hunter, the duo credited WWII veteran Holcombe Rucker with developing the basketball court in the 1950s, which is located in Harlem. Not only does the park encourage teamwork and camaraderie among New York’s youth, but it has also been a safe haven and promotes academic excellence. “Rucker Park isn’t just a basketball court; it’s a symbol of resilience, empowerment, and unity. It has inspired generations of athletes and served as a catalyst for social change,” Rep. Espaillat said.
