Alex Cooper’s Unwell Hydration brand has signed a season-long deal with the NWSL, making it one of the league’s official partners. Beginning with Friday night’s Challenge Cup between reigning champions the Orlando Pride and the Washington Spirit, the collab means fans will see Unwell activations at notable NWSL matches throughout this year and will include the launch of Unwell FC, a hype group for supporters. 

Cadillac has officially been given final approval to become the 11th team to join the Formula 1 grid in 2026, F1 announced on Friday. As part of the deal, GM shared plans to launch an F1 power unit that will put the team on track to being a “full works” unit by the end of this decade. Cadillac becomes the first new team to join F1 since Haas in 2016.

SZA is channeling her inner jewelry thief in a new spot for State Farm. In the 15-second clip, the singer is dressed as Catwoman and steals a diamond necklace from a safe. In the description, State Farm writes: “Stuff got swiped? State Farm is there. How purrfect is that?” At the end, the phrase “To be continued” flashes across the screen, so perhaps there’s more to come from this partnership between the insurance firm and Grammy-winning artist.

Longtime ESPN analyst Stephen A. Smith has signed a new deal with the network, with multiple outlets reporting he’s expected to pocket around $100 million over the next five years. Smith will continue his post on First Take but will limit appearances across other ESPN programs to amp up his political commentary. His podcast, The Stephen A. Smith Show, boasts more than 1.1 million subscribers on YouTube.

After initially planning to release in the spring, Apple confirmed Friday that artificial intelligence enhancements to Siri will be delayed until 2026. Some upgrades would have allowed Siri to complete tasks on users’ behalf using personal information from their driver’s license and the ability to make the voice assistant more conversational and understand personal context. 

Deion Sanders isn’t slowing down this offseason. The Colorado coach reuniting with Nike will receive the ultimate co-sign this spring with a retail release tied to LeBron James. On May 9, the Laker legend will launch a “Prime 93” take on his 21st signature sneaker with the Swoosh, paying homage to the 1993 Nike Air Diamond Turf model that Prime Time wore in Atlanta while lacing up for both the Falcons and the Braves. The performance hoop shoe will retail for $180.

Despite employers across the nation adding 151,000 jobs in February, a Friday report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics shows that the unemployment rate rose to 4.1%. While fewer than the 170,000 economists forecasted, according to The Wall Street Journal, last month’s mark topped the 125,000 added in January. The number of Americans who currently work multiple jobs stands at 8.9 million.

Ahead of March Madness, Under Armour announced its NIL Collegiate Class of 2025 on Friday, featuring six of the top collegiate basketball players. Including non-Under Armour schools for the first time, the roster is made up of UCLA’s Lauren Betts, Kansas’s Flory Bidunga, Ohio State’s Jaloni Cambridge, South Carolina’s Te-Hina Paopao, Auburn’s Tahaad Pettiford, and Tennessee’s Zakai Zeigler.

The Bong Joon Ho-directed Mickey 17 opened to $2.5 million in Thursday night previews across 3,200 cinemas nationwide. Starring Robert Pattinson, Naomi Ackie, and Mark Ruffalo, the sci-fi dark comedy is expected to earn around $20 million domestically this weekend and $45 million worldwide.

In its inaugural professional season, League One Volleyball has linked up with Tiffany & Co. to craft a one-of-a-kind championship trophy made of sterling silver. It will be awarded at the LOVB Finals on April 13 in Louisville, Kentucky. In addition to the hardware, each player on the winning team will take home a Tiffany T Smile Pendant as a keepsake of the championship game.
