Time unveiled its 2025 Women of the Year list on Thursday, recognizing extraordinary leaders fighting for a more equal future. Among those celebrated are Las Vegas Aces star A’ja Wilson and gymnast Jordan Chiles, who both picked up gold medals during last year’s Paris Summer Olympics. Despite DeepSeek making a splash at the top of the year, OpenAI exec Brad Lightcap told CNBC that its weekly active users surpassed 400 million in February. The ChatGPT developer’s paying users also exceeded 2 million in February, more than doubling from the last update provided in September.

Amazon MGM Studios has obtained creative control of the long-running James Bond franchise, Amazon announced on Thursday. Barbara Broccoli and her stepbrother, Michael Wilson, have maintained ownership of the 007 series since gaining control from their father, Albert “Cubby” Broccoli. Amazon will now determine who will play Bond, pen the next screenplay, and when the film goes into production. Deadline reports the deal is worth about $1 billion.

Multiple reports indicate that Prada Group is mulling a potential acquisition of Versace, which is currently owned by Carpi Holdings Ltd. Capri is also the parent company of Michael Kors and Jimmy Choo, while the Prada Group owns brands such as Miu Miu, Church’s, Car Shoe, and Pasticceria Marchesi.

Range Rover is entering the apparel space by launching a new fashion line. The London Collection features eight pieces, including two silk scarves, wool-cashmere blend blankets, and reversible, lightweight jackets. Honoring the British car brand’s modernist ethos, items were designed by Range Rover’s apparel designer Kimberley Panton and printed and hand-finished in Lake Como, Italy. 

Severance has passed Ted Lasso as the most-watched series of all time on Apple TV+. The sci-fi drama starring Adam Scott, Britt Lower, and Patricia Arquette recorded the highest number of unique viewers in the platform’s history in a month-long span since Season 2 launched on Jan. 17. Recent Nielsen streaming data also shows Severance sat in fourth on its Top 10 Originals chart with 589 million viewing minutes in the United States during its premiere week.

Speaking at President Claudia Sheinbaum’s morning press conference in Mexico City on Thursday, Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos said the streaming service will make a $1 billion investment to produce around 20 movies and TV series in Mexico annually over the next four years. Netflix has helped Mexico fund features like Club de CuervosPedro Paramo, and Roma, the first Mexican film to win the Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film.
