The nominees for this year’s Rock & Roll Hall of Fame were revealed Wednesday, and among this year’s 14 honorees, eight are first-time eligible: Bad Company, The Black Crowes, Chubby Checker, Joe Cocker, Billy Idol, Maná, Outkast, and Phish. Other nominations include Mariah Carey, Joy Division/New Order, Cyndi Lauper, Oasis, Soundgarden, and The White Stripes.

Grammy Award winner Tyla has officially signed with Nike, revealing in an interview with The Swoosh that some of her favorite sneaker silhouettes are the Nike Shox and the Clogposite collab with Supreme. As for the partnership, Tyla said she’s excited to hopefully develop her own line of products with the brand and wear exclusive ensembles. 

Fox Corporation confirmed Wednesday that this year’s Super Bowl pulled over $800 million in advertising sales across its broadcast and online channels. At least 10 30-second commercials aired during the game cost $8 million a spot, with the average cost coming in at $7.5 million.

Tems made history Wednesday by becoming the first African woman to be a part of MLS ownership, joining the San Diego FC group ahead of the team’s 2025 debut season. The Nigerian-born singer joins via her company, The Leading Vibe, and in partnership with Pave Investments, an African private investment organization that played a part in leading a group of strategic investors to invest in NBA Africa in 2021. 

Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown has inked a multi-year partnership with Oakley, collaborating with the company’s research and development teams on apparel and eyewear, including special-edition product collabs with his performance brand, 741. Oakley will also function as Brown’s exclusive eyewear sponsor.

Tom Brady continues to add to his investment portfolio, this time acquiring a 50% ownership stake in sports collectibles company CardVault. With the purchase, the company’s name will officially change to CardVault by Tom Brady.

Tag Heuer is now the official title partner of the Monaco Grand Prix, which will now formally be known as the Formula 1 Tag Heuer Grand Prix de Monaco. This is the first time the historic race has partnered with a brand in this capacity, which will include a new logo and trackside signage for the Swiss watch company.

Chance the Rapper is heading to NBA All-Star Weekend to headline the NBA on TNT American Express Road Show Fan Experience on Feb. 13. The Chicago-based artist will join the Inside the NBA crew Shaquille O’Neal, Charles Barkley, Kenny “The Jet” Smith, and Ernie Johnson when they all broadcast live from Pier 48 in San Francisco.
