Spotify posted its strongest-ever quarterly user growth in Q4 2025, adding 38 million monthly active users to reach 751 million total, while paid subscribers rose 10% year over year to 290 million. Revenue increased 13% year over year to โ‚ฌ4.5 billion ($5.3 billion), gross margin improved to 33.1%, and operating income reached โ‚ฌ701 million ($828 million), signaling continued profitability momentum. The company also highlighted the success of its 11th annual Wrapped campaign, which generated more than 300 million engaged users and over 630 million social shares globally. By the end of the quarter, Spotify employed 7,323 full-time staff worldwide, roughly flat year over year.

Paramount is escalating its pursuit of Warner Bros. Discovery by adding a $0.25-per-share quarterly โ€œticking feeโ€ to its $30-per-share bid, a move that would deliver roughly $650 million in additional value each quarter if the deal drags past Dec. 31, 2026. The company also committed to covering a $2.8 billion breakup fee tied to Netflix and offered relief on WBDโ€™s debt-related costs. Despite the pressure, Deadline reports the Warner Bros. Discovery board reaffirmed its support for the existing Netflix transaction and told shareholders not to act on Paramountโ€™s unsolicited offer. 

Amelia Dimoldenberg, creator and host of Chicken Shop Date, is developing and starring in a romantic comedy for Amazon MGM Studiosโ€™ Orion Pictures, playing a journalist whose life is derailed by an unexpected romance. The film will be produced by Gloria Sanchez Productions (Booksmart, Will & Harper) with a script by Sarah Heyward. Dimoldenberg built her global profile through Chicken Shop Date and Passenger Princess, and is also the founder of Dimz, Inc. Academy.

Playa Society, the Black woman-owned streetwear brand spotlighting womenโ€™s sports culture, will make its NBA All-Star debut with a pop-up at Complex Market in Los Angeles on Saturday. The activation will honor womenโ€™s basketball icons Cheryl Miller and Monica Wright, the fictional character from Love & Basketball played by Sanaa Lathan. Attendees will get exclusive access to Playa Societyโ€™s Second Quarter Love & Basketball collection, along with a limited-edition collaboration with Miller available only at the event.

Maison Margiela will cap Shanghai Fashion Week with its Fall 2026 show on April 1, launching a nearly two-week, multi-city brand moment across Shanghai, Beijing, Chengdu, and Shenzhen. Called โ€œMaison Margiela/Folders,โ€ the initiative includes exhibitions spotlighting the houseโ€™s Artisanal couture legacy, its long-standing code of anonymity, and the iconic Tabi shoe, alongside an immersive experience for local audiences. The programming traces the brandโ€™s evolution from Martin Margiela through Glenn Martensโ€™ recent runway debut. In an unusual move, the house will also publish detailed event materials globally via Dropbox, giving the public full access to its creative process.

New Balance has launched Quiet Noise, a new basketball campaign centered on the unseen work that shapes the game before the spotlight hits. The initiative features rising stars Tyrese Maxey, Cooper Flagg, Darius Garland, Cameron Brink, Aaliyah Crump, and Sienna Betts, alongside new footwear led by the P350 for quick, explosive play and the P400 for all-game comfort and responsiveness. The rollout also includes basketball apparel and accessories designed to function both on-court and for everyday wear. The full collection launches at retail on Thursday, with additional drops planned throughout the year.

Eddie Murphy and Eva Longoria will star in Attachment Parenting, a comedy for Amazon MGM based on Julianna Baggottโ€™s short story. Both stars are producing through Eddie Murphy Productions and Longoriaโ€™s Hyphenate, alongside John Davis of Davis Entertainment, marking a reunion after last yearโ€™s Amazon action comedy The Pickup. The film follows a psychologist couple whose parenting philosophy is tested when they must counsel a crime bossโ€™s dysfunctional family while held hostage at a hotel. The project is in early development, with no writer or director attached yet.

Aneesah Morrow is officially part of the Reebok Basketball family. The Chicago native and current Connecticut Sun forward will wear the brandโ€™s footwear on court, joining Reebok ambassadors Angel Reese of the Chicago Sky, Los Angeles Sparks guard Lexie Brown, and Dallas Wings guard DiJonai Carrington.

Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz are officially returning for a fourth installment of the The Mummy franchise, set for wide release by Universal Pictures on May 19, 2028. The actors will reprise their iconic roles as adventurer Rick Oโ€™Connell and Egyptologist Evelyn Oโ€™Connell, with plot details still under wraps. The new film is directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett (Ready or Not), with a screenplay by David Coggeshall (The Family Plan, Orphan: First Kill). Weiszโ€™s return is particularly exciting as she did not appear in the 2008 third film, The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor.

The Premier League, in partnership with NBC Sports, will host its 12th Premier League Mornings Live Fan Festival in Tampa, Fla., on April 18-19 at Armature Works. The free two-day event lets fans watch live Premier League broadcasts, participate in interactive soccer activities, meet club legends, and take photos with the Premier League Trophy and mascots. NBC Sportsโ€™ studio team โ€“ host Rebecca Lowe and analysts Robbie Earle, Robbie Mustoe, and Tim Howard โ€“ will broadcast Premier League Mornings Live on-site. Legendary striker Alan Shearer, the Premier Leagueโ€™s all-time leading goalscorer, is also confirmed to attend.
