Khaby Lame, the world’s most-followed TikToker with 160 million followers, partnered with Rich Sparkle Holdings Ltd. in a $975 million deal to turn his social media influence into a commercial venture. The agreement gives the firm 36 months of exclusive global rights to Lame’s brand, transforming him into an “equity-backed creator.” Rich Sparkle plans to expand his reach through brand collaborations, co-branded products in beauty, fragrance, and apparel, and an AI version of Lame for multilingual content. Bloomberg reports the commercialization of his following is projected to generate over $4 billion in annual sales.

Charli xcx’s debut feature, The Moment, has become A24’s fastest-selling limited release following a buzzy Sundance debut. Over 50 screenings have sold out in key markets, including a livestreamed Q&A with Charli xcx and director Aidan Zamiri, with more than 70% of premium large-format showings also sold out, mostly to audiences under 35. Co-written with Bertie Brandes from an original idea by Charli xcx, the film follows a rising pop star navigating fame and industry pressures ahead of her sold-out tour. The Moment opens in New York and L.A. this weekend before a wide release on Feb. 6.

Boardroom can exclusively reveal that Overtime is launching a new content collaboration with the NBA and WNBA, sharing highlights, live games, and original programming across their respective platforms to engage the next generation of basketball fans. As part of the deal, Overtime will create a weekly show featuring league content and potential official marketing partners, while also producing additional content from NBA/WNBA tentpole events. The partnership allows NBA and WNBA highlights to be distributed on Overtime’s channels, and Overtime will help promote live games and guide fans to the NBA App for full coverage. This follows Overtime’s existing league collaborations with the NFL and NBCUniversal.

Caitlin Clark will join NBC Sports as a special contributor for Basketball Night in America at Madison Square Garden on Feb. 1 at 6 p.m. ET. She will provide pregame commentary alongside Maria Taylor, Carmelo Anthony, Vince Carter, and Tracy McGrady ahead of the Los Angeles Lakers vs. New York Knicks showdown. Clark will return in the same role on March 29 when the Oklahoma City Thunder host the Knicks at Paycom Center.

Paul Thomas Anderson’s One Battle After Another and Ryan Coogler’s Sinners are leading the BAFTA Film Award nominations, with 14 and 13 nods respectively. Anderson’s film ties the record for most nominations, while Coogler and Michael B. Jordan make their BAFTA debut, with Sinners marking the highest-nominated film by a Black director in BAFTA history. Close behind, Hamnet and Marty Supreme received 11 nominations each, with Timothée Chalamet returning to the leading actor race and Josh Safdie earning his first director nomination. Chloé Zhao also makes history with the highest number of BAFTA nods for a female director this year, and is the only woman nominated for directing.

Nike is doubling down on pop culture by uniting major celebrity power with performance design, calling on Blackpink’s Lisa for a ballet-inspired NikeSKIMS campaign. Lisa fronts the launch of the NikeSKIMS Rift Satin, a new take on the classic split-toe Rift with a satin upper, midfoot strap, and minimalist sole. The sneaker arrives in silt red and black alongside a full NikeSKIMS apparel capsule. The Spring 2026 collection drops online Feb. 5, with international releases rolling throughout the month.

The NFL and YouTube unveiled a star-packed roster for the Super Bowl LX Flag Football Game, streaming live on the NFL’s YouTube channel on Feb. 7 from the Moscone Center in San Francisco. Global musician J. Balvin and creator-comedian Druski will serve as team captains, with Cam Newton and Michael Vick headlining as quarterbacks and Deion “Coach Prime” Sanders coaching. The game features a mix of musicians, creators, flag football stars, and NFL legends, with Kay Adams hosting and Andrew Hawkins on commentary. 

Range Sports has acquired Superfly, the experiential marketing and events company behind Bonnaroo, to launch a new live experiences division spanning sports, entertainment, and music. As part of the deal, Superfly founders Rick Farman, Rich Goodstone, and Kerry Black, along with the full team, will join Range. The acquisition excludes Superfly’s ownership stake in Outside Lands, which will continue unchanged with Another Planet Entertainment. Range’s broader portfolio includes work with athletes like Gabby Thomas and Ilona Maher, as well as organizations such as the Indiana Pacers, Indiana Fever, Gotham FC, and Shaun White’s Snow League.

Zoey Deutch has been cast as the lead in The 99’ers, a Netflix drama about the U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team, directed by Emmy winner Nicole Kassell. Deutch will portray Marla Messing, the influential executive behind the record-breaking 1999 Women’s World Cup. The film also stars Emily Bader as soccer icon Mia Hamm and is based on Jeré Longman’s book The Girls of Summer. The story centers on the team’s historic 1999 World Cup victory over China, a defining moment that forever transformed women’s sports worldwide.

Chicago’s United Center has become the first major U.S. arena to sell cannabis drinks, announcing a multi-year partnership with hemp-derived THC beverage brand RYTHM, which also produces Señorita drinks. Available to adults 21 and over, the beverages will debut at concerts in early February and be sold alongside alcohol and soft drinks, serving as a test case for cannabis in mainstream live-event venues under Illinois law. The initial lineup includes four 5 mg THC options, featuring three Señorita cocktail-inspired flavors and a caffeinated citrus RYTHM Sativa drink designed for live events.

Anta Sports confirmed Tuesday it has agreed with Groupe Artémis, the Pinault family’s investment firm, to acquire a 29.06% stake in Puma for €1.5 billion (about $1.8 billion). The deal, financed entirely with Anta’s internal cash, is expected to close by the end of 2026. Anta said it plans to seek representation on Puma’s supervisory board while working alongside shareholder and employee representatives. The acquisition further expands Anta’s global portfolio, which already includes Fila, Jack Wolfskin, Wilson, and Arc’teryx.
