Harry Styles has sparked speculation about ending his four-year musical hiatus after cryptic โ€œWe Belong Togetherโ€ billboards appeared in major cities worldwide, alongside the launch of a website linking to a WhatsApp group called โ€œHSHQ.โ€ Fans believe the campaign signals the announcement of his fourth album, which would be his first since the award-winning Harryโ€™s House in 2022. Reports also suggest Styles may be planning major residencies, including a possible return to Madison Square Garden and Manchesterโ€™s Co-op Live Arena, where he is an investor. He first teased a comeback in December with an eight-minute YouTube video titled Forever, Forever.

Mike Tomlin has stepped down as head coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers, ending a remarkable 19-year tenure in which he never posted a losing season. The 53-year-old informed players of his decision a day after the Steelers were eliminated from the playoffs, despite having two years remaining on his contract. Tomlin leaves as the longest-tenured head coach in North American pro sports. Because he resigned under contract, the Steelers retain his coaching rights through the 2027 season.

U.S. inflation came in slightly hotter than expected in December, with the annual rate at 2.7%, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, while prices rose 0.3% for the month. Food prices increased 0.7% in December and were up 3.1% year over year. Economists had forecast a 0.3% monthly increase and a 2.6% annual rate, with similar expectations for core inflation. The report offers the clearest view of inflation in months after Novemberโ€™s unusually cool data was distorted by delayed price collection caused by the government shutdown.

Marvel released a new teaser for Avengers: Doomsday on Tuesday that heightens excitement by confirming the return of the Fantastic Four and revealing Winston Dukeโ€™s Mโ€™Baku as the King of Wakanda. The minute-long clip shows Letitia Wrightโ€™s Black Panther arriving in a desert with Mโ€™Baku, visions of Namor, and a meeting with the Fantastic Four, culminating in a title card teasing their return. Directed by the Russo brothers, the film also marks the first appearance of X-Men characters in the MCU. Avengers: Doomsday is set to hit theaters on Dec. 18.

Fanatics and OBB Media have launched Fanatics Studios, a new joint venture aimed at becoming a leading global studio for sports entertainment, producing and distributing content across films, documentaries, scripted and unscripted series, live events, and digital programming. The studio combines Fanaticsโ€™ sports reach and athlete partnerships with OBBโ€™s award-winning storytelling. Its initial slate includes a major content partnership with the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games, a multi-part Tom Brady documentary, and production of the 2026 ESPY Awards alongside ESPN.

Trevor Noah will return as host of the Grammy Awards for a sixth and final time, also serving as executive producer for the Feb. 1 ceremony in Los Angeles. The 2026 Grammys will mark the final year the show airs on CBS after a run dating back to 1973, before moving to ABC under a new 10-year deal with Disney. From 2027 through 2036, the Grammys will air across ABC, Hulu, and Disney+. The upcoming ceremony will broadcast live from Crypto.com Arena on CBS and stream on Paramount+.

TOGETHXR and Unrivaled, two female-athlete-founded sports and culture brands, have partnered to launch the “TOGETHXR Weโ€™re Unrivaled” merchandise collection aimed at elevating and expanding visibility for womenโ€™s sports. Centered on TOGETHXRโ€™s “Everyone Watches Womenโ€™s Sports” slogan, the collection features statement apparel, including tees, long-sleeves, hoodies, and a hockey jersey arriving later in the season. The line will be available for purchase online on the TOGETHXR and Unrivaled websites starting Friday.

With a career total that now exceeds $15.46 billion, Zoe Saldaรฑa has become the highest-grossing actor in a leading role of all time following the release of Avatar: Fire and Ash, dethroning box office leader Scarlett Johansson. Under Armour has secured a major win by extending its longtime partnership with Philadelphia Phillies star Bryce Harper. Harper announced the new extension on Instagram, continuing a partnership that began in 2011 and was previously cemented by a landmark 10-year deal in 2016. One of MLBโ€™s biggest sneaker enthusiasts, Harper recently celebrated the launch of his 10th signature cleat, the UA Harper 10 Pro, along with accompanying training shoes. The Phillies starโ€™s first signature cleat of 2026 will launch in February.

Apple is set to explore the life and career of tennis legend Andre Agassi in a multi-part docuseries. The project will be executive-produced by former tennis pro Justin Gimelstob, a friend and former competitor of Agassi, alongside Stacy Smith, known for her work on HBOโ€™s 100 Foot Wave and Netflixโ€™s Mr. McMahon. This docuseries follows other Agassi-related projects, including Amazonโ€™s scripted series Rally, set at an elite tennis academy and produced by Universal Television and Entertainment360.
