The Golden Globes announced the presenters for the 83rd annual ceremony, airing live Sunday on CBS and streaming on Paramount+ in the U.S. The presenter lineup features a mix of film, television, music, and comedy stars, including Amanda Seyfried, Ayo Edebiri, Charli xcx, George Clooney, Kevin Hart, Queen Latifah, Snoop Dogg, and Zoรซ Kravitz. The New York Sirens of the PWHL will host the Seattle Torrent at Madison Square Garden on April 4 in primetime, marking the leagueโ€™s first-ever game at the iconic venue. The matchup is the third and final meeting between the two teams in the 2025-26 regular season and represents a milestone moment for the Sirens in New York City sports. Kid Cudi is debuting his first-ever art exhibition under his given name, Scott Ramon, following the recent premiere of his artist documentary at Art Basel Miami Beach. Titled Echoes of the Past, the show runs from Jan. 31 through March 1 at Ruttkowski;68 in Paris and features 10 paintings with a vivid, geometric style that explores emotional contrasts. The exhibition also includes an original 10-minute soundscape, emphasizing Ramonโ€™s multidisciplinary approach to art.

The Television Academy has introduced a new Legacy Award honoring television programs that have had a profound, lasting impact on audiences and remain culturally and socially relevant. The award will be selected annually by the Special Awards Committee and approved by the Board of Governors, with recipients receiving engraved Emmy statuettes. Eligible programs must have at least 60 episodes over five seasons, demonstrate sustained influence, and can only receive the honor once, with presentations taking place across various Emmy-related events.

TOGETHXR is doubling down on its evolution as a media company with an apparel arm, announcing a new partnership with League One Volleyball. Through this collaboration, TOGETHXR and LOVB will co-develop, produce, and distribute premium, athlete-forward content that elevates womenโ€™s sports. Co-founded by Alex Morgan, Sue Bird, Simone Manuel, Chloe Kim, and media executive Jessica Robertson, TOGETHXR will work with LOVB to expand the visibility and commercial value of womenโ€™s volleyball on and off the court. Tommy Hilfiger has entered a first-of-its-kind partnership with Liverpool FC, bringing the brandโ€™s modern American aesthetic to the English clubโ€™s menโ€™s and womenโ€™s teams as well as key staff. The collaboration will appear in matchday moments, global campaigns, and seasonal activations. Players from both squads will front campaigns and wear curated collections, including exclusive capsules and co-branded pieces, throughout the season.

Four World Cup contenders โ€” Brazil, Colombia, France, and Croatia โ€” will play a number of friendlies in the U.S. this March as part of the โ€œRoad to 26โ€ series across Boston, Orlando, and Washington, D.C. The series opens March 26 with Brazil vs. France at Gillette Stadium, followed by Colombia vs. Croatia in Orlando the same day. On March 29, Colombia faces France in Landover, and the series concludes March 31 with Brazil vs. Croatia in Orlando. Tickets go on sale Jan. 13 at 10 a.m. ET, with pre-sale registration also available.

The NFL Playoffs begin Saturday, as 14 teams compete for a spot in Super Bowl LX and increased postseason payouts. Under the current CBA, Sportico writes that player pay increases each round, from about $53,500-$58,500 in the opening week to $81,000 for conference championships, with Super Bowl winners earning $178,000 per player. The maximum possible playoff total sits at $376,000. The postseason pool is funded by playoff ticket revenue, which largely goes to the league, making playoff runs less financially lucrative for NFL teams compared to other major sports leagues.

Lego, Disney Consumer Products, and Lucasfilm staged a high-profile CES promotion by transforming the exterior of the Sphere in Las Vegas into a massive interactive Star Wars video game. The experience recreated the iconic X-wing vs. TIE-fighter Death Star trench run and was developed by Sphere Studios to promote Legoโ€™s new Smart Play system. CES attendees and special guests, including New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart, took turns piloting the X-wing during the live activation.
