A day after revealing it added tennis superstar Coco Gauff to its investor group, Unrivaled, the new professional 3v3 women’s basketball league founded by Napheesa Collier and Breanna Stewart, and TNT Sports announced a star-studded studio coverage team. Leading the way on the show will be WNBA legend Candace Parker, who will be joined by Renee Montgomery and Lauren Jbara. The broadcast will feature guest appearances from Lisa Leslie throughout the season, and she will also provide in-game analysis alongside Sarah Kustok and play-by-play announcer Brendan Glasheen. Unrivaled also boasts a veteran rotation for its sideline reporters, which will include Taylor RooksAllie LaForce, Stephanie Ready, and Ros Gold-Onwude. The league tips off in Miami on Jan. 17.

In a major media move, Getty Images is joining forces with Shutterstock in a merger worth a reported $3.7 billion. Both companies’ boards unanimously approved the deal; the new board will consist of 11 members and be led by CEO Craig Peters. Getty shareholders will own 54.7% of the new company, which will retain the Getty name and the GETY ticker on the New York Stock Exchange. Both companies were up as much as 20% throughout trading on Tuesday following the news. 

Nvidia revealed multiple new products at CES on Tuesday, including its latest artificial intelligence superchip and a personal supercomputer. The superchip, called the GB10, is a pint-sized version of Nvidia’s GB200 chip and will be used to power Project DIGITS, the supercomputer sized to fit one’s desk. The Big Tech company also revealed updates on its robotics strategy, including humanoid robots and self-driving vehicles. Nvidia’s stock rose early Tuesday following the announcement, but quickly flipped 180 degrees, down roughly 5% as the market closed.

On the heels of a successful Miami event, Rolling Loud geared up for its next installment by releasing the lineup for its California event on Tuesday. A$AP RockyPlayboi Carti, and Peso Pluma will headline the two-day festival at Inglewood’s Hollywood Park. Rolling Loud California 2025 is set for March 15-16 and will feature over 75 artists across three stages, including QuavoBossMan Dlow, Sexyy RedYG, and many more. 

On Tuesday, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced the Big Tech company will be eliminating its fact-checking program, replacing it with a new community-centric system similar to X’s Community Notes. The move is part of a larger shift in Meta’s moderation policies and practices, with Zuckerberg citing the recent election as “a cultural tipping point towards, once again, prioritizing free speech.” These changes will hit some of the largest social media apps in the world, the Meta-owned Facebook, Instagram, and Threads.

The Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula 1 team may have lost one of its top drivers in Lewis Hamilton, but it’s entering its new chapter by signing a multi-year partnership with Adidas. Both German brands, Adidas will provide Mercedes drivers, mechanics, and engineers with a full range of apparel, footwear, and accessories. Additionally, the Three Stripes has begun working on an official kit, making each one custom to each person’s role within the team. Fans can expect an Adidas x Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 collection to be released ahead of the start of the 2025 season in March, with several limited-edition drops planned. 

Sunday’s Golden Globe Awards nearly kept pace with last year’s event that recorded a four-year viewership high, slightly dipping by 2% to 9.3 million average viewers, Nielsen confirmed to numerous outlets on Tuesday. Nielsen additionally said that the show hosted by Nikki Glaser hit a 1.8 rating among adults in the 18-49 age range, tying 2024.

Ashanti and Nelly are taking their lives to the screen in a new docuseries ordered by Peacock, Deadline reported Tuesday. The show will come from the minds over at Critical Content, the company behind producing Netflix’s Sly and MTV’s Catfish. Per the report, filming has already begun for the couple who welcomed their first child in July 2024. Ashanti and Nelly, who previously dated for a decade in the early 2000s, got back together in 2023 before getting married in December of that year. 

The TGL, the new indoor golf league founded by Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy, officially named FanDuel its official sports betting partner ahead of Tuesday’s league debut. As part of the deal, FanDuel will feature wagering options across all matches, including live odds that will be incorporated into the broadcast. The inaugural match from the SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens will feature the New York Golf Club, consisting of Rickie Fowler, Xander Schauffele, and Matt Fitzpatrick, taking on The Bay Golf Club, featuring Wyndham Clark, Shane Lowry, and Ludvig Aber
