The sneaker that debuted on the feet of Golden State’s Draymond Green on Christmas Day is available online and at select retailers starting Feb. 28.
Days after the NBA’s A-listers showed off their favorite footwear throughout NBA All-Star Weekend in Cleveland, Converse has revealed key details about its latest sneaker offering.
As the iconic brand confirmed Tuesday, its newest basketball silhouette — the Converse All Star BB Shift — arrives Monday, Feb. 28. The shoe will be available globally on the company’s official website, as well as at select retailers.
As the company announced on the occasion:
“With the All Star BB Shift, Converse embraces the ‘Positionless’ player who can run spots one through five on the court… Just as the Converse basketball player refuses to be defined, so too does the silhouette, which will see a relentless flow of colorways and player exclusives painted onto its canvas. Converse has partnered with its basketball roster to create an unprecedented collection of PEs that allow for ultimate self-expression and storytelling. Similarly, a vast collection of inline colorways helps ensure every player at every level can stand out.”
The All Star BB Shift made its debut on the feet of Golden State Warriors All-Star big man Draymond Green during the team’s victory over the Phoenix Suns on Christmas Day:
Green, 31, signed a “multiyear, multimillion-dollar” endorsement deal with Nike-owned Converse in March 2020. The brand inked a pact with Oklahoma City Thunder star guard (and style god) Shai Gilgeous-Alexander that July.
SGA flaunted his Run Star Motion shoe earlier this month:
As for the All Star BB Shift, the new sneaker “features a robust performance and technology portfolio constructed around three tentpoles — control, weight, and lockdown — which allow for self-expression on the hardwood, the blacktop, or wherever the game takes you.” It’s additionally bolstered by Nike Zoom Air technology to ensure the sort of speed and agility every positionless star needs.
Hoopers can up their games for a retail price of $120 per pair.
