Tupac Honored With Walk of Fame Star

On what would have been his 52nd birthday, Tupac Shakur will be posthumously honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The event, which will be streamed live, starts at 10:30 a.m. PT and is scheduled for June 7. The rapper, who died in 1996, will be honored in between fellow Hip-hop icons Missy Elliott and Salt ‘N Pepa.

Real Madrid Is the World's Most Valuable Football Club

Though they weren’t crowned La Liga champions, nor could they defend their Champions League title, Real Madrid still reign supreme when it comes to value. According to Forbes, the Spanish franchise is the most valuable football club in the world for the second straight year, worth $6.07 billion — up 19% compared to last year. Rounding out the top five is Manchester United ($6 billion), Barcelona ($5.510 billion), Liverpool ($5.290 billion) and Manchester City ($4.990 billion).

NWSL Bay Area Expansion Team Reveals New Name

The NWSL’s newest expansion team has a name. A release Thursday confirmed that the club is called Bay FC. Co-founded by USWNT legends Brandi Chastain, Danielle Slaton, Leslie Osborne, and Aly Wagner and global investment firm Sixth Street, the release says Bay FC will “unite the Bay Area as a beacon of community and inspire professional excellence both on and off the pitch.” The franchise also revealed its logo, which illustrates the Bay Area’s unique culture and style, drawing inspiration from the iconic Golden Gate Bridge and the Bay’s eclectic street art scene.

F1 Announces Musical Acts at Las Vegas Grand Prix

To kick off the inaugural Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix this fall, race organizers have tapped J Balvin, Major Lazer and Mark Ronson as musical headliners for the festivities. The three will individually perform over the course of the three-day event, held Nov. 16-18. To achieve a local feel, guests will also be treated to beloved Vegas performing acts Blue Man Group and Cirque du Soleil. To dine, attendees can expect “a selection of globally inspired cuisine” from Chef Wolfgang Puck

MLB and MLB Players, Inc. Form New Partnership to Increase Player Marketing

Major League Baseball and MLB Players, Inc., which functions as the business arm of the MLB Players Association, finalized an agreement to allow player marketing through league and external partnerships. By doing this, the league can outsource its players in groups for promotional purposes to its sponsors and advertisers. “Baseball is growing its ranks with young emerging national and international superstars and future Hall of Famers whose star quality will appeal to brands as they develop future marketing campaigns,” Evan Kaplan, Managing Director of MLB Players, Inc said in a statement. “The relationship was created to put players at the forefront of MLB partnerships and to simplify the process for brands to work with both organizations.”

In celebration of Gucci Chime, an initiative dedicated to advancing gender equality across the globe, the luxury fashion house teamed up with numerous A-listers. Rihanna & Taylor Swift Top Forbes’ Richest Self-made List

It pays to be a chart-topping musical artist or everyone’s favorite makeup mogul. Literally. On Thursday, Forbes revealed its annual richest self-made women list and multihyphenate entrepreneur Rihanna reigns supreme with a net worth of $1.4 billion. Coming in at the second and third, respectively, are Taylor Swift and Madonna. Currently in the middle of a sold-out tour, Swift is worth $740 million and the original Queen of Pop $540 million. Rounding out the top 5 are Beyoncé ($580 million) and Celine Dion ($480 million) to her name.
