Zendaya Negotiates Euphoric Contract

Zendaya’s hope for her role in Euphoria was to “help heal people,” as she said during her acceptance speech at the 2022 Emmys. As her mission continues, Zendaya (and the show) have been so successful that she reportedly re-negotiated her contract with HBO and will earn $1 million per episode for Euphoria’s third season in 2024. Zendaya has made history in her role as Rue Bennett, winning Best Lead Actress in a Drama — the youngest actor to win the Emmy and the only Black woman to claim the award twice.

The Washington Commanders’ Legal Saga Continues

Per an exclusive report from Don Van Natta of ESPN, federal prosecutors in Virginia will investigate financial misconduct allegations against Dan Snyder and the Washington Commanders, as a grand jury issued subpoenas for documents related to the franchise’s finances. As part of the process, the FBI and IRS will look into a $55 million loan the Commanders received without board members’ approval — a violation of franchise shareholder rules. Three minority stakeholders reportedly had zero knowledge of Snyder using the team’s budget for personal expenses, including $4.5 million to get Washington’s logo engraved on his private jet.

Dreamville Festival Might Be Most Anticipated Yet

J. Cole’s Dreamville Festival has been a highly anticipated fixture since the first show took place in 2019 — and while two were called off due to the COVID-19 pandemic, that hasn’t hindered the festival’s momentum. This year’s lineup includes Drake, Usher, JID, and so many other stars coming together for the two-day show in Raleigh, North Carolina. “With a continued emphasis on community, diversity, and inclusivity, Dreamville Festival will once again offer fans from across the globe a weekend celebration curated by J. Cole himself and featuring a variety of local vendors, food trucks, artisans, and community organizations from the greater Triangle area,” Dreamville said in statement.

Fanatics Taps Klutch Leader for Athlete Relations Role

Fanatics just keeps on rising. On Tuesday, it announced the hiring of Klutch’s Head of Basketball, Omar Wilkes, to lead athlete relations. Wilkes, 38, repped stars like Trae Young, Anthony Edwards, and OG Anunoby, and will ascend into a bigger role as Fanatics continues to grow its enterprise in collectibles, among other spaces within the industry

Tom Brady… The GROAT?

Tom Brady has worn several different hats throughout the course of his illustrious career — both on and off the field, but this one is certainly new. The 45-year-old retired superstar (through his TB12 business ventures) is reportedly in talks with Netflix about a show roasting Brady, called “The Greatest Roast of All Time.” His past credits include Ted 2 and Living With Yourself — along with a Saturday Night Live skit in 2005.
