Peyton Manningโ€™s Omaha Productions is officially bringing the World Series of Poker back to ESPN. The streamer announced Sony Pictures will handle international distribution as the film heads toward a global theatrical rollout ahead of its Netflix debut in 2027. The adaptation marks Netflixโ€™s first wide theatrical release strategy, with plans for an exclusive 45-day run in theaters before streaming. Gerwig directs an all-star cast that includes Daniel Craig, Emma Mackey, Carey Mulligan, and Meryl Streep.

The Recording Academy is expanding eligibility for the Grammy Awardsโ€™ Best New Artist category, allowing artists to submit four times instead of three. Snapchat is launching its sixth-generation AR Specs, a $2,195 wearable glasses device designed to blend digital content with real-world interaction. Also in the pipeline: a 20th anniversary iPhone with an edge-to-edge curved glass design and a second-generation foldable iPhone, signaling a major hardware overhaul across Appleโ€™s ecosystem.

Sothebyโ€™s Paris will auction more than 1,000 previously unseen sketches and personal items from the estate of Karl Lagerfeld in an online sale running July 2โ€“8, 2026. The collection spans decades of his work, including drawings from the 1970s, signature fingerless gloves, and around 200 iPods used in his creative process. With no reserve prices and bids starting at one euro, the sale offers a rare look at Lagerfeldโ€™s private archive and design legacy.

Sean Penn is set to direct a new Warner Bros. film centered on the life of a police officer connected to the Jan. 6 Capitol riots, with Bradley Cooper in talks to star.
