April 15 marks Jackie Robinson Day across baseball, and some of the biggest names in sports and entertainment are honoring the MLB legend who broke the color barrier in 1947. The Jackie Robinson Estate is rolling out the โ€œWe Are Jackieโ€ campaign alongside new and existing partners, including MLB, Fanatics, Fear of God, Mitchell & Ness, New Era, Nike, Topps, and more. Activations span apparel, gaming, trading cards, and in-stadium tributes celebrating Robinsonโ€™s lasting legacy.

Live Nation has been found liable in a major antitrust lawsuit, with a jury ruling the company operated as a monopoly that stifled competition and drove up ticket prices. While the DOJ reached an early settlement, more than 30 states, including California, New York, and Texas, continued the case independently. Aโ€™ja Wilson is staying with the Las Vegas Aces after reportedly agreeing to a three-year, $5 million supermax contract, the largest deal in WNBA history. The fully guaranteed extension reflects the leagueโ€™s new CBA, which significantly raised the supermax ceiling. Heading into free agency, the four-time MVP and three-time champion confirmed she was not considering other teams, saying she is โ€œnot leaving Vegas.โ€

OpenAI is rolling out GPT-5.4-Cyber, a specialized model designed to identify software vulnerabilities, to a limited group of users through its Trusted Access for Cyber program. The initial release includes hundreds of cybersecurity professionals, with plans to expand to thousands in weeks. The launch comes amid competition with Anthropic, which recently introduced its restricted tool, Mythos, focused on finding and exploiting vulnerabilities.

Meta is expanding its multi-billion-dollar partnership with Broadcom to develop custom AI chips, committing to deploy at least 1 gigawatt of computing capacity as part of a long-term push to reduce reliance on Nvidia and AMD. The chips will power Metaโ€™s growing AI infrastructure ambitions. As part of the deal, Broadcom CEO Hock Tan will step down from Metaโ€™s board, though heโ€™ll remain an advisor.

Stranger Things Season 5 dominated TV, drawing 30.6 million viewers in its first 28 days to rank as the most-watched series of the 2025โ€“26 season, per Nielsen. Allbirds is making a dramatic pivot from footwear to artificial intelligence, announcing a shift into AI compute infrastructure under a new identity, NewBird AI.
