Tupac Shakur Murder Trial Documentary in the Works
A new documentary will follow Duane “Keefe D” Davis’s long-awaited murder trial in theย death of Tupac Shakur. British outfit Pioneer Productions has secured exclusive access to Keefe D and his family, filming in the lead-up to the case, throughout the courtroom proceedings, and in the aftermath. Indicted in September 2023 on one count of murder with a deadly weapon, Keefe D will go to trial nearly three decades after Shakurโs death in 1996. The trial, which has been delayed multiple times, is now scheduled to begin on Aug. 10.
Alphabet’s Q4 Earnings Beat Expectations, Annual Revenue Exceeds $400B for First Time
Alphabet, Googleโs parent company, reported an 18% jump in fourth-quarter revenue, beating expectations with nearly $114 billion in sales as digital advertising and cloud computing surged. Net income climbed 30% year over year to $34.5 billion, capping a record 2025 in which the company posted $403 billion in revenue and about $132 billion in profit. The company also announced plans to nearly double capital spending, lifting its 2026 estimate to $175-$185 billion as it pours money into AI development and data-center expansion. Growth in AI demand is fueling Google Cloud, which generated nearly $18 billion in Q4 revenue, up 48% from the prior year.
Scottie Pippen Auctioning $6 Million of Personal Memorabilia
NBA icon Scottie Pippen is taking his legacy to the auction block, hiring Sothebyโs to sell a curated selection of memorabilia from his 17-year career. The auction, titled The Scottie Pippen Collection, opens in March and features personal, game-worn items, including the jersey from the Chicago Bullsโ championship-clinching win in the 1998 NBA Finals. Expected to top $6 million in total value, the collection includes pieces priced from $30,000 to over $1 million. Headlining the sale are Michael Jordanโs Air Jordan VII sneakers from the 1992 โDream Teamโ Olympic gold medal game โ gifted to Pippen in the locker room and valued at up to $2.5 million โ along with a Larry Bird jersey from the same Olympics.
Versace Names Pieter Mulier Chief Creative Officer
Pieter Mulier, currently creative director of Maison Alaรฏa, will join Versace as its new creative director, succeeding Dario Vitale, effective July 1. He will report to Versace executive chairman Lorenzo Bertelli and will conclude his tenure at Alaรฏa after the brandโs fall 2026 show during Paris Fashion Week in March. Mulier has built a reputable career at major fashion houses, including Raf Simons, Jil Sander, Dior, and Calvin Klein. Notably, Versace will not appear on the calendar for Milan Womenโs Fashion Week later this month.
Bad Bunny Inks Deal With iHeartMedia for Podcasts Hosted by Latino Athletes
iHeartMedia has partnered with Rimas Sports, the sports management and brand agency co-founded by Bad Bunny, to create original podcasts and content for My Cultura, iHeartโs network highlighting Latino voices. The first show from the collaboration will launch in early 2026 and feature MLBโs 2025 Comeback Player of the Year and Rimas talent Ronald Acuรฑa Jr. Since its 2023 launch, Rimas Sports has built a roster of over 45 elite athletes across baseball, motorsports, padel, and boxing, including Fernando Tatรญs Jr., Agustรญn Tapia, Juan Pablo Montoya, Sebastiรกn Montoya, and 2025 WBO light middleweight champion Xander Zayas. This month, the agency will expand into the NFL.
49ers to Play Rams in First-Ever NFL Australia Game
The San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Rams will play the NFLโs first-ever game in Australia next season at Melbourne Cricket Ground, the league announced. Details on the date, kickoff, and tickets will be shared later. The matchup is part of a record nine international games in 2026, which also include contests in London, Paris (featuring the New Orleans Saints), Madrid, Munich, Mexico City, and Rio de Janeiro.

U.S. Job Openings Drop to Lowest Since 2020
Data released from the Department of Labor Thursday revealed that U.S. job openings dropped to 6.5 million in December, the lowest since September 2020. Layoffs increased slightly, while quits remained steady at 3.2 million. Hiring has been modest, with January expected to add about 70,000 jobs, up from 50,000 in December, though statistics from ADP obtained by the Associated Press reported just 22,000 private-sector hires. Job cuts surged, with over 108,000 positions eliminated in January, the most since October and the worst January for layoffs since 2009.

Mike Epps Sets ‘We Them Ones’ National Comedy Tour
After releasing his Netflix special Delusional, Mike Epps is launching the We Them Ones Tour, traveling to 35 cities from February through May. The tour kicks off Friday in Louisville and wraps up on May 23 in Las Vegas. Produced by BMN Entertainment, the shows will feature comedians including DC Young Fly, Karlous Miller, Chico Bean, Mojo Brookzz, Tony Roberts, TK Kirkland, Just Nesh, Navy Greene, Jayski, and Fab Monroe. Partnering with Urban One, the tour will also hold a national talent search to spotlight emerging comedians. Epps is also known for Netflixโs The Upshaws, for which he won a 2024 NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Actor in a Comedy Series.
