Kendrick Lamar, Lady Gaga, Bad Bunny Headline 2026 Grammy Nominations
After winning five Grammy Awards in 2025 with “Not Like Us,” Kendrick Lamar is also the most nominated artist for the 2026 Grammys with nine, the Recording Academy revealed Friday. Lady Gaga sits with the second-most nominations at seven, while Bad Bunny, Sabrina Carpenter, and Leon Thomas nabbed six each. All five artists are up for Album of the Year alongside Justin Bieber, Clipse, and Tyler, the Creator. Other notable nominations include KPop Demon Hunters getting three nods for popular track “Golden” as well asย Timothรฉe Chalamet and Steven Spielberg earning their first nominations. Major Airlines Cancel Hundreds of Flights Amid FAA Order
Major airlines have canceled hundreds of flights on Friday after the Federal Aviation Administration issued a directive in response to the ongoing government shutdown, the longest in U.S. history. Per data firm Cirium, roughly 780 flights have been axed across 40 different markets, which amounts to roughly 3% of all Friday flights. The FAA’s order will see that number increase to 10% by next Friday.

YouTube TV, ESPN Dispute Extends Into Second Weekend
It appears that the standoff between YouTube TV and ESPN will continue into the weekend, just in time for some marquee college football matchups on the network, as well as Monday Night Football. This will be the second weekend that 10 million subscribers will miss out on ESPN programming after Disney and Google were unable to settle a carriage dispute. Among ESPN’s slate this weekend are a top-10 matchup between BYU and Texas Tech, a primetime rivalry with LSU and Alabama, and arguably the most compelling MNF game of the season in the Eagles vs. Packers.
Tesla Approves Elon Musk’s $1T Pay Package Plan
Elon Musk‘s $1 trillion pay plan has been approved by Tesla shareholders, the company announced Thursday, stating that the package received over 75% of the voting shares in support. The world’s richest person will now receiveย 12 tranches of sharesย that will be granted should Tesla reach certain milestones over the years, with the first one converting when the company reaches a $2 billion market capitalization.

Ryan Reynolds, Amazon MGM to Remake 1974 Clint Eastwood, Jeff Bridges Film
Ryan Reynolds is partnering with Amazon MGM to create a remake of Thunderbolt & Lightfoot, a 1974 action-comedy film that originally starred Clint Eastwood and Jeff Bridges. Reynolds appears to be taking on much of the workload, aiming to star in the movie as well as help write the script and produce alongside his Maximum Effort production team.
Shutdown Stalls Jobs Report, Economists Expect 60K Job Drop
As the government shutdown continues, so does the lack of weekly jobs reports from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. ‘Predator: Badlands’ Racks Up Nearly $5M in Box Office Previews
After a poor month at the box office in October, Predator: Badlands looks to buck that trend to kick off November, bringing in $4.8 million in previews. Projections indicate it will collect anywhere between $25 million and $30 million throughout its debut weekend. Competing with the latest Predator film in theaters will be Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinsonโs Die My Love and Sydney Sweeneyโs Christy, among others.
