Coinbase, Xbox, & Atlantic Records Unveil Gaming Series “The Green Room”

The new promotion debuts with a $20,000 Halo Infinite celebrity pro-am tournament on Dec. 16 that will stream live on YouTube.

A trio of companies — Atlantic Records, Xbox, and Coinbase — have launched “The Green Room,” a music, gaming, and sports crossover event series in partnership with gaming giants VaynerSports, eFuse, and Aim Lab, the parties announced Monday. The series will kick off with a $20,000 Halo Infinite celebrity pro-am tournament on Wednesday, Dec. 15 at 6 p.m. EST on Atlantic’s YouTube channel.

Recording artists participating in the event include Bankrol Hayden, Childish Major, Bizzy Banks, Lil Eazzyy, and Sueco.

“I’m stoked to be a part of The Green Room! Aside from music, gaming is how I spend most of my time so being a part of this is really dope,” Sueco said in a release. “I’m a big fan of Halo, Xbox, and everyone involved. It’s an honor to get to play a legendary game alongside some of my favorite artists, streamers, and athletes.”

Streamers on hand will include OpTic Hitch, LEGIQN, Bugha, FaZe Nate Hill, and Snip3down, while UFC bantamweight fighter Sean O’Malley, Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield, Green Bay Packers, wideout Marquez Valdes-Scantling, and Pittsburgh Steelers receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster join from the world of sports.

In between the rounds, the Green Room will showcase a wide variety of exclusive music and gaming engagements, including interviews and special Aim Lab and Halo Infinite content. Viewers will have access to contests, giveaways, Xbox Game Pass subscriptions, and a HyperX Ultimate Streamer Package.

The event will be hosted by Mitch “OG Pickle” Long and Joey Franchize. The eight teams competing will be fighting for a $10,000 prize pool in cash and $10,000 prize pool in cryptocurrency. KAY Jewelers also designed a custom championship ring for the winners.

Future events from “The Green Room” are forthcoming.
