Tom Brady Rookie Card Fetches Over $500K

As Tom Brady is set to play in his NFL record 10th Super Bowl, his cards are hitting all-time highs.

Brady’s PSA 10 Playoff Contenders Rookie Autographed card sold for $555,988 on Monday, making it the most expensive Brady card ever sold.

The card was sold by PWCC Marketplace, who calls it “the single most important modern football card ever produced.”

A PSA 9 of the same card sold for an all-time high on Monday as well, going for $90,000, more than double the price a PSA 9 sold for just a month ago.

Vintage or modern cards graded as PSA 10’s will always be more coveted and valuable, but the surface details of the Brady Playoff Contenders card make PSA 10’s nearly impossible to find.

The gold foil on the card is a unique detail, but is known to reveal scratch marks pretty easily affecting the overall grade of the card. PWCC also explained that the card is generally affected by chipping, but in this instance the Brady card has no imperfections from the corners to the penned signature.

Another PSA 10 is up for sale on eBay with an asking price of $1 million or best offer. If Brady pulls off his 7th Super Bowl victory in two Sundays, that asking price may not be too crazy.
