Nobody wanted to play the Bad Boys.

As Michael Jordan began to take the NBA by storm, it was ultimately the Detroit Pistons that snatched the NBA torch from Magic’s Lakers and Larry’s Celtics, bullying their way to back-to-back championships. And leading the way was the team’s undisputed MVP: a kid from Chicago named Isiah Thomas.

But his career on the floor was just one piece of his Hall of Fame legacy.

On the latest episode of Boardroom’s “The ETCs” podcast, the 12-time NBA All-Star speaks with Kevin Durant and Eddie Gonzalez about serving as a coach, commentator, and executive, as well as his journey as an entrepreneur with Isiah International, the company that he founded in 1990 to manage a portfolio covering everything from cannabis to insurance to champagne.
