Empires Collide: Caesars Sportsbook Forges Alliance with Manning Family

Last Updated: November 12, 2021
Archie, Cooper, Peyton, and Eli Manning will all serve as ambassadors with the sports betting division of Caesars Entertainment.

If you sat there wondering why ESPN didn’t stream its alternate “Manningcast” with Peyton and Eli Monday night as the Steelers edged out the Bears, just know that the much-accomplished brothers were a bit busy with some upcoming news.

Along with older brother Cooper and father Archie, the whole Manning family just joined up with the Caesars Sportsbook “empire” to serve as official brand ambassadors.

“We’re excited to partner with the team at Caesars Sportsbook. We’re looking forward to interacting with their customers who love sports and love football, and we know Caesars has a lot of fun initiatives planned,” Peyton Manning said in an official release. “They place a strong emphasis on community impact, and we appreciate their support of causes that are important to us.”

The Mannings’ ambassadorships will place an emphasis on the range of tools and resources Caesars Sportsbook provides to promote and ensure responsible betting, including those included in their official app.

It’s already been a big week for Ceasars even without this Manning-sized news, however. On Monday, the New York State Gaming Commission confirmed that it had awarded Caesars a mobile betting license as part of a sportsbook consortium that includes BetRivers/SugarHouse, PointsBet, Resorts World, and WynnBET. In total, nine sportsbooks were granted mobile operating licenses in the Empire State.

Caesars’ empire, the Manning empire, and the Empire State. Pretty poetic for a gaming and entertainment company that’s been increasingly pushing television ads depicting the great JB Smoove as a Roman emperor, to say nothing of Eli’s championship history with the New York Giants.

Earlier this year, Caesars Sportsbook inked ambassador partnerships with former ESPN talents Kenny Mayne and Trey Wingo while it ramped up its advertising push. But today’s new alliance with the Manning bloc is a uniting of the clans that stands within its own category.

“This isn’t the typical partnership between a sports betting company and major talent,” said Chris Holdren, Co-President of Caesars Digital. “We’re welcoming the most acclaimed family in football history to be integrated holistically into the Caesars family. Archie, Peyton, Eli, and Cooper are extraordinary people who are champions of their communities, and we’re honored to partner with such a prestigious group of individuals.”
