Michelle Beadle Returns with New Podcast “What Did I Miss?”

The former ESPN and NBC personality’s podcast premieres Nov. 15 on The Athletic and includes three new episodes every week.

Michelle Beadle is back. But she also never left.

Since departing ESPN in 2019, she didn’t stop being an absolute superfan of two beloved institutions — pro wrestling and the San Antonio Spurs — and has appeared this fall as a special correspondent for Bally Sports San Antonio in support of the latter.

And in less than one week’s time, her next chapter is here:

An all-new podcast, “What Did I Miss? with Michelle Beadle,” in collaboration with The Athletic.

Premiering Monday, Nov. 15, “What Did I Miss?” will take on the worlds of sports and entertainment with a combination of analysis, opinion, and humor. And while it will be part of The Athletic Podcast Network — which will provide key support both on the production and marketing side — this is Michelle Beadle’s show.

And it is so completely, utterly hers that you won’t be limited to just one episode per week. Rather, you’re getting a new “What Did I Miss?” every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

Raised in the Dallas and San Antonio regions, Beadle got her start as an intern with the Spurs before going on to cut her teeth as a reporter with Fox Sports, CBS Sports, Paramount Network precursor TNN, College Sports Television, the Travel Channel, and the YES Network. Her breakthrough moment came in 2009, when she joined ESPN and served as inaugural co-host of SportsNation alongside Colin Cowherd.

After three years at the Worldwide Leader, which included weekend hosting slots and regular appearances across ESPN Radio simulcasts, Beadle departed for NBC. In 2013, she hosted a sports and pop culture show, The Crossover, on NBCSN. In spring 2014, she returned to ESPN, where she would remain until 2019 hosting shows like NBA Countdown and Get Up!.

Now, a new era of Beadlemania begins.

“What Did I Miss? with Michelle Beadle” premieres Monday, Nov. 15. It is available for free download on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and more, and is available ad-free on The Athletic App.
