The Bruins All-American (and niece of Tom Brady) has joined the world-famous agency for exclusive representation on NIL deals.
Maya Brady is many things. She’s an award-winning softball player at UCLA. She both hits bombs and can cover multiple positions on the field. She’s a niece of both Tom Brady and former Red Sox fan favorite Kevin Youkilis.
Now, the All-American Bruin can add another item to her CV: NIL athlete represented by WME Sports, as the agency announced Wednesday.
The opportunity is well-deserved. Brady is a redshirt sophomore for the Bruins and made an impact as soon as she stepped onto campus. As a freshman in 2020, she practically tore the cover off the ball, hitting .356, slugging .699, and leading the team with seven home runs. She also had seven multi-hit games (out of 26 games played), scored 22 runs, and drew 11 walks.
She followed that up in 2021 by hitting .333 in nearly twice as many games to go with 14 home runs. As a pandemic-induced redshirt, she was named Softball America’s Freshman of the Year, First Team All-Pac-12, Pac-12 All-Freshman, and NFCA First Team All-American.
