Jorge Masvidal Brings Some BMF Attitude to Streaming Ecommerce

The UFC iconoclast has teamed up with streaming shopping platform Whatnot to launch his own dedicated ecommerce channel,BRKRZ.

UFC welterweight contender Jorge Masvidal has shared billing with some of the biggest stars in mixed martial arts over the years. Now, he’s joining up with live streaming auction platform Whatnot to take a different kind of entertainment straight to the fans.

Welcome to The BRKRZ, a dedicated streaming channel run by the “BMF champion” himself. And he doesn’t just have a whole lot of auctions and giveaways in the works — he plans to use BRKRZ to take enthusiasts behind the scenes of his daily life, too.

BRKRZ will launch its weekly show on Thursday, Jan. 13 with Masvidal auctioning off items exclusively on Whatnot. Offerings include:

  • Packs of Panini UFC Immaculate trading cards
  • Memorabilia signed by Masvidal
  • Bonus giveaways for livestream viewers.
  • Four lucky viewers will win additionally win a pair of signed Team Masvidal gloves.

“I’m thrilled to go live on Whatnot to share my passion for sports cards and connect with my community in a more authentic and engaging way,” Masvidal said on the occasion. “We have a lot of fun breaks and unique auctions we could only do on Whatnot and I can’t wait to surprise my fans with experiences they otherwise wouldn’t be able to find on other platforms.”

This partnership adds to the already accelerated growth of Whatnot, the live stream application that allows collectors to auction and bid on Funko Pops, memorabilia, sports cards, and a wide range of other collectibles and hard-to-find consumer items.

Back in September, Whatnot received $150 million in Series C funding that brought their valuation to $1.5 billion. And with Jorge “Gamebred” Masvidal now in their corner, its full speed ahead for 2022.
