Isiah Thomas Invests $3M Into Cannabis Company

Another high-profile athlete has invested in the cannabis industry as NBA Hall-of-Fame Point Guard Isiah Thomas has put forward $3 million into Hemp and Cannabis Ingredient Producer, One World Pharma Inc.

Thomas was named CEO of One World Pharma last June, as the company plans to use the funding to build a THC and CBD extraction facility in Colombia.

A 12-time all-star with the Pistons, Thomas has enjoyed immense success off of the court as the founding Chairman and CEO of Isiah International LLC, a holding company with a diverse portfolio of business ventures and investments, including One World Pharma.

Colombia recently approved one World Pharma to produce its high-THC strains as the country continues to show national interest in the legal cannabis industry.

Thomas joins Al Harrington and Marshawn Lynch as former athletes who own businesses in the cannabis industry.
