IMG and Collectable Announce Inaugural “MINT Collective” Event

UFC President Dana White, StockX co-founder Josh Luber among speakers at the first-of-its-kind summit for sports collectors and investors.

IMG, a global leader in sports, events, and media, teamed up with leading cards and memorabilia investment platform Collectable on a new flagship event that’s headed to Las Vegas in January 2022.

The MINT Collective will be a first-of-its-kind event, held in Las Vegas, Nevada.

On Thursday, IMG and Collectable announced an all-new event for investors and collectors: The MINT Collective. The MINT Collective is curated around the worlds of sports collectibles, from trading cards to memorabilia to NFTs, and will take place between UFC Apex, the state-of-the-art arena and production facility home to dozens of UFC events, and the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino.

Slated to take place from Jan. 28-30, 2022, the MINT Collective will feature some of the biggest names not only in the hobby, but across the broader world of sports and business as well. Josh Luber, co-founder of StockX and head of Fanatics’ new trading card company, and UFC President Dana White are scheduled to speak at the event, with more announcements to come.

Headline topics for the event include the differences between collections and portfolios, the state of the non-fungible token market, how the hobby boom has revolutionized collecting, general investment strategy, and the future of the collectibles industry at large.

Additionally, The MINT Collective will feature a curated marketplace where vendors can display and sell their inventory.

Another activation fans should keep tabs on? The Collector’s Carnival, where attendees can witness the rarest of memorabilia up close and participate in exclusive product drops, live auctions, and sports gaming exhibitions.

“The sports memorabilia and collectibles market is booming and we’re excited to announce The MINT Collective, which aims to provide forward-thinking new experiences, insights and opportunities for collectors, professionals and investors to help drive this growth. We’re pleased to be working with our partners at  Collectable, and to confirm two major industry names, Josh and Dana, as our first speakers.”
