El Clásico is already must-see television, but FC Barcelona is taking it up a notch by wearing a limited edition kit designed by Travis Scott as part of the club’s ongoing partnership with Spotify. For the May 11 showdown against longtime rivals Real Madrid, the uniforms will feature imagery from Scott’s record label Cactus Jack  and will appear on the front, replacing the usual Spotify sponsor logo. As part of the partnership, Scott will also perform an exclusive concert in the Spanish city the night before the match, becoming the first of the artists to have partnered with Barça to do so.

Following a series of health problems during the 2024-2025 season, Gregg Popovich will be transitioning from the role of head coach to the San Antonio Spurs‘ team president, the team announced Friday. Pop’s 29-season run as coach included five NBA championshipsthree NBA Coach of the Year awards, a gold medal at the 2020 Olympics with Team USA, and a coaching, philosophical, and managerial tree branching out to all 30 teams. His tutelage sparked an unprecedented run of 20 straight 50-win seasons. Interim head coach Mitch Johnson was promoted to the full-time position starting next season.

The Miami Grand Prix is set to become a fixture in the Formula 1 race calendar. The organization announced Friday they’ve agreed to a 10-year extension with South Florida Motorsports through 2041. At just its fourth year in operation, Miami now becomes the longest contracted race on the Formula 1 lineup. Last year, a record-breaking 275,000 attendees across the weekend watched as McLaren’s Lando Norris secured his first-ever Grand Prix victory.

Savannah James and April McDaniel‘s Everybody’s Crazy weekly podcast will be moving to the Dear Media network for its upcoming new season premiering on May 20. The weekly call-in show will join a network of 80 health, wellness, parenting, and business focused programs. Dear Media said it will give the pod the production value and strategy it deserves as it kicks off its fourth season.


In new data released from the Bureau of Labor Statistics on Friday, U.S. employers added 177,000 jobs in April, though the unemployment rate remained consistent at 4.2%. Health care added the most new hires at 51,000. Other sectors posting meaningful gains included transportation and warehousing (29,000), financial activities (14,000), and social assistance.


Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock are reportedly set to star in an upcoming romantic thriller from Amazon MGM Studios, reuniting the duo that paired brilliantly in the 1994 action classic Speed. Mark Gordon, who produced Speed, will also play a major role in the project. Noah Oppenheim, a co-creator of recent Netflix hit series Zero Day, has signed on to write the script.


Beverly Hills will serve as the new home of a massive Louis Vuitton flagship scheduled to open in 2029. Breaking ground next year, world renowned architect Frank Gehry will lead the design and build, while Peter Marino will curate the interior. The marquee location will also boast one level of “private spaces for clients” in addition to a garden rooftop.


Regulatory filings revealed that Amazon founder and executive chairman Jeff Bezos is planning to sell holdings in the e-commerce giant worth up to $4.75 billion over the next year. Bezos, who Forbes estimates currently has a net worth of $206 billion, will sell up to 25 million shares in the company. In February 2024, Bezos sold stock worth around $13.5 billion. 


In a Friday statement saying they need more time to deliver the “quality you expect and deserve,” Rockstar Games confirmed they are delaying the highly anticipated release of Grand Theft Auto VI to May 26, 2026. Originally slated to arrive this fall, few details on GTA VI have emerged since a trailer for the game dropped in December 2023, which currently has over 251 million views.


Already a force in music, 2 Chainz is now trying his hand at cinema with a short film titled Red Clay. Co-written alongside Omar Epps, the Variety exclusive says it’s scheduled to premiere May 3 at the Atlanta Film Festival. Set in 2003, the project follows Nook (Christopher A’mmanuel), a teenager with a rough upbringing coping with his drug-addicted mother. Along with his friend Bub, Nook longs for a better life but finds himself cemented in a lifestyle he seeks to withdraw from.
