Cowboys’ La’el Collins Reportedly Attempted to Bribe NFL Drug Tester

The NFL suspended Dallas Cowboys offensive tackle La’el Collins five games on Sept. 10. As ESPN now reports, it was due to a situation regarding a drug screening, but not a positive test — he attempted to bribe the league’s testing staffer. An arbitrator denied Collins’ appeal and upheld the ban, which he began serving in Week 2.

The 2021 Cardinals took home their club record 15th straight win with an 8-3 win over the Cubs at Wrigley Field. Their late-season success has put them firmly in place to secure the second NL Wild Card slot, with their magic number looming at three.

Oklahoma Squeaks Out Win Over West Virginia 

After a difficult day where he was repeatedly booed by fans, QB Spencer Rattler went 6-6 for 54 yards on the final drive to set up a 30-yard field goal by Gabe Brkic as time expired to propel the Sooners over the Mountaineers 16-13. With the win, Oklahoma stays undefeated heading into next week’s Big 12 matchup with Kansas State.

Fans in Vegas were treated to an epic night in the octagon as Alexander Volkanovski cranked it out in five rounds to take down Brian Ortega in an instant classic to defend the featherweight championship at UFC 266. Earlier in the evening, Nick Diaz suffered a third-round technical knockout against Robbie Lawler in his return to the cage for the first time since 2015.
