Big 12 Brokers $2.28B Deal with ESPN & Fox

The Big 12 has found a new TV sponsor. After Brett Yormark marketed the conference aggressively over the last several months, it has found a new TV home. News broke on Sunday that the Big 12 will partner with ESPN and Fox for a deal that is valued at an estimated $380 million per year. The package will enable ESPN to pick four games each season, and the remaining will be broadcast on Fox. The conference’s current broadcast agreement extends through 2024-25, but the new deal locks them in through 2030-31.

Portland Defeat Kansas City for the NWSL Title

The NWSL has a new champion. The Portland Thorns defeated the Kansas City Current 2-0, off the boots of NWSL player of the year Sophia Smith and Addisyn Merrick. The Thorns’ victory is extra sweet as the club looks for new leadership in the wake of the NWSL report that caused Merritt Paulson to step aside as the team’s CEO following evidence that he enabled impropriety within the franchise. The championship capped a record-setting season for women’s soccer.

Jake Paul Stays Undefeated after Beating Anderson Silva in Unanimous Decision

Jake Paul is 6-0 in the ring. The YouTuber took home the victory against the 47-year-old Anderson Silva in Arizona. After the match, Paul showed respect to Silva, saying, “It’s a surreal moment. Hard work pays off,” Paul said. “I want to say thank you to Anderson. He was my idol growing up and he inspired me to be great. Without him, we wouldn’t have a fight this year. He’s a tough mofo, like for real. I have a lot of respect for him.”

Bad Bunny Brings in $123M with September Tour Stops
