Beyoncé in Talks with AMC Concert Film Experience

Beyoncé may be coming to the silver screen. Following Taylor Swift’s footsteps, Queen Bey is reportedly in talks with AMC to release an in-theater chance for the Beyhive to catch her Renaissance Tour experience. According to Variety, Beyoncé is negotiating a direct distribution deal, which would bring the live concert footage to theaters Dec. 1. The news comes in the wake of T Swift’s announcement last month. The Eras Tour film is on track to take in between $100-125 million in its opening weekend when it hits theaters on Oct. 13.

New York Liberty Set to Meet the Las Vegas Aces in WNBA Finals

The lights were up at Mohegan Sun on Sunday. The New York Liberty beat the Connecticut Sun 87-84 to punch their ticket to the WNBA Finals. The Liberty will face the Las Vegas Aces, who beat the Dallas Wings in three straight to secure their spot in the finals. The two teams squared off four times this season, each taking two games apiece. The best-of-five-game series tips off on Oct. 8 in Las Vegas.

Jrue Holiday is Boston Bound

Jrue Holiday has had a big week. ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski revealed on Sunday that the Portland Trailblazers traded the guard to the Boston Celtics in exchange for center Robert Williams and guard Malcolm Brogdon. Holiday was an essential component of the trade that sent Damian Lillard to the Bucks, which took place last week. Holiday has one year left on his contract and Wojnarowski reports that the C’s are hoping to lock the 33-year-old into a long-term deal.

Bad Bunny and Kendall Jenner Take off with New Gucci Campaign

Bad Bunny and Kendall Jenner have been taking over the pages of tabloids for months, ever since they sparked rumors of their romance. Now the über-famous couple seemingly made things official, filming a campaign for Gucci. The images capture the two jet setting, highlighting the Italian luxury label’s luggage collection. According to a statement from the company, the snaps “redefine the Jet Set glamor of the 1990s.”

Simone Biles Makes History Once More in Antwerp

Simone Biles’ return to the sport of gymnastics has been nothing short of electrifying. She competed most recently at the World Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Antwerp where she became the first woman to land a Yurchenko double flip in competition. In acknowledgment of her feat, the move will be called “The Biles II.” It marks the second vault named after the 26-year-old and the fifth move overall. Biles returned to the sport after taking a break to tend to her physical and mental health after her last appearance at the Olympics in Summer 2021.

Microsoft Exec Set to Testify in Google Antitrust Hearings

As the antitrust case against Google wages on, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella will appear in court on Monday. The executive is expected to appear as a witness on behalf of the US Justice Department. The case examines whether the tech conglomerate established an unfair monopoly on the search industry. Nadella’s presence will help unpack how competitors, including Microsoft’s Bing, experienced obstacles presented by Google. The case also explores whether Google secured business from major partners, such as AT&T and Apple, via inappropriate means.
