Joel Embiid was back on the hardwood for the first time since Nov. 8 on Saturday looking like he never left. The big man put up 42 points, but it wasn’t enough for Philadelphia to take home the win. The Sixers fell to the Timberwolves 121-120.
Top 25 Shakeup Impending in Women’s College Basketball
No team was safe in the women’s game on Saturday, as several teams in the top 25 fell to unranked opponents. No. 16 Oregon State, No. 17 Florida State, No. 19 UCLA, and No. 22 West Virginia each dropped their matchups. Additionally, No. 7 Stanford beat No. 2 Maryland 86-67.
Northern Iowa Stuns No. 16 St. Bonaventure
The Panthers beat a ranked team for the first time since 2019 on Saturday as they topped the No. 16 Bonnies 90-80. Northern Iowa’s junior guard AJ Green put up 35 in the win.
