LeBron James and Liverpool Collab for Nike Line

Liverpool Chairman Tom Werner announced on Wednesday that LeBron James was working with Nike to create a limited line of products connecting the NBA legend and the British soccer club. James has been a minority owner of Liverpool since 2011 and joined Werner’s Fenway Sports Group as partners in 2021. 

St. Louis, NFL Reach Settlement in Rams Relocation Case

The NFL and Rams owner Stan Kroenke will pay St. Louis a combined $790 million. The decision comes after a four-and-a-half-year mediation following the team’s departure in 2017 and is substantially lower than the $1 billion payout that was expected when the case went to trial in January. The final agreement did not guarantee the city an expansion team in the future.

Dapper Labs Teases All NFL Day Digital Collectibles 

The maker of NBA Top Shot is breaking into the NFL. Dapper Labs unveiled a preview of the upcoming NFL All Day NFT moments marketplace on Wednesday. The announcement comes after Dapper Labs and the NFL unveiled their partnership back in September.

Scripps Spelling Bee Champ Zaila Avant-garde Named SI’s SportsKid of the Year

The Louisiana native made waves earlier this year when she took home the Scripps National Spelling Bee, becoming the first Black American to capture the title. However, the 14-year-old’s win revealed that in addition to being a master speller, Avant-garde is one of the top-rated basketball players in the country. Sports Illustrated recognized her success both on the court and the spelling stage, naming her its 2021 SportsKid of the Year.

JJ Watt to Cover Funeral Expenses for Waukesha Christmas Parade Victims

The Arizona Cardinals’ defensive star announced on Wednesday that he would assume all expenses for the six victims of the tragic event in Waukesha, Wisconsin. Watt is a Wisconsin native, and his brother – and Pittsburg Steeler – Derek has set up a community fund for the families of the victims in partnership with the United Way. 

Exodus Movement Teams with SportX to Enable Crypto-backed Sports Betting

The crypto wallet company announced on Wednesday that they are partnering with sports betting outlet SportX for over 2,000 events each week. Exodus Movement supports various different cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin and Ethereum.
