Washington Spirit Wins NWSL Title

Kelly O’Hara netted the game-winner in extra time to clinch the championship title, lifting the Spirit 2-1 over the Chicago Red Stars. Utah Shocks No. 4 Oregon

The college football playoff picture got a whole lot more interesting on Saturday, as No. 4 Oregon was stunned by unranked Utah, 38-7. Sophomore running back Tavion Thomas had a career day with 94 yards and three touchdowns.

Crawford Retains WBO Welterweight Title with TKO of Porter

Saturday’s WBO title fight between Bud and Showtime marked a crossroads for the landscape of the sport. After an even match through nine rounds, Crawford adjusted his approach and dropped Porter in the 10th round, holding onto his welterweight title.

No. 5 Ohio State Blows Out No. 7 Michigan State, 56-7

Ohio State quarterback CJ Stroud threw for six touchdowns, tying a school record, as the Buckeyes trounced the Spartans 56-7 on Saturday.

Solskjaer Sacked as Manchester United Coach

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is out as the coach of Manchester United. Solskjaer logged three years with the club, but a recent disappointing skid led to the ousting. Michael Carrick will lead the team as Man U searches for a replacement.
