Miami Heat Head to Finals, Squash Celtics’ Historic Comeback Hopes

Derek White’s Game 6 buzzer beater left a legion of Celtics fans hopeful that the team could complete an improbable reverse sweep, coming back from 3-0. As Boston headed back to TD Garden, the team hoped to reproduce the success of last year’s squad that made it to The NBA Finals. Alas, the heroics of Caleb Martin, Jimmy Butler, and Bam Adebayo proved to be too much for the Celtics, especially following an early-game injury to Jayson Tatum, which slowed the star’s performance in the win-or-go-home game. The Heat prevailed with a final score of 103-84. The eighth-seeded Heat will meet Nikola Jokić and the Denver Nuggets in the Finals, which will tip off on June 1 on ABC.
