‘The Joker 2’ Prepares Classics-filled Soundtrack
We are a bit over six months from the drop of the much-anticipated Joker sequel. The film, which will star Lady Gaga and Joaquin Phoenix reprising the eponymous role, seeks to achieve the billion-dollar success of the original. To help spark the moment, Variety reports that the film will feature a 15-song soundtrack that will include covers of “very well known songs,” such as “That’s Entertainment.” The film reportedly features a $200 million budget, and will release in theaters on Oct. 4.

LeBron James and his team at The Shop are expanding their business empire even further. As previously reported in HeadlineToGo, The Shop is expanding to a full line of men’s products, coming to Walmart stores across the country next week. This Friday marks the arrival of Beyoncé’s highly anticipated Cowboy Carter. Although the album is expected to surge to the top of the charts, Ariana Grande continues to revel in the No. 1 spot as we countdown to the release. The singer’s Eternal Sunshine held onto the top position on the Billboard 200 for the second straight week, moving more than 100,000 units. Kacey Musgraves slid into the No. 2 position, with Deeper Well, close behind with 97,000 units.

The European Union is conducting a far-reaching review looking into some of the biggest names in tech, including Apple, Alphabet, and Meta. The investigation, announced Monday, will examine whether each of the tech giants’ app-delivering platforms steer users away from alternatives that could potentially save them money. This is the most recent in sweeping reviews over the last year by the EU. Previously, Apple was forced to pay $1.95 billion for instituting similar restrictions that limited competition.
Spotify Brings Video Learning Platform to Life
Move over Masterclass, there is a new virtual learning platform on the market. Spotify is testing a new product, which would allow subscribers to enhance their skills in everything from office skills to beat production. The Swedish company will partner with companies, including the BBC, to help curate a curriculum. The test run will roll out in the UK first as the company assesses demand.
