Canelo/Bivol Fight to Jumpstart DAZN’s PPV Business

At the beginning of the month, DAZN announced a two-fight, nine-figure deal with Canelo Alvarez, which is worth a reported $160 million. The streaming site depends on monthly subscriptions but will adopt a one-and-done model for the matchups. The stream for Canelo/Bivol on May 7th will set viewers back $79.99.

Aaliyah’s Self-titled Album to Hit Wax for First Time

After years of restrictions, the beloved singer’s catalogue finally hit streaming services last December. And while fans have been spinning her three-album collection on repeat, they got an additional bout of good news on Friday as it was announced that Aaliyah’s final self-titled studio LP will receive its first vinyl pressing ever via Vinyl Me, Please’s Essentials Record of the Month subscription program.

Driven by Netflix Success, Austin GP Sells Out

Browns Secure Deshaun Watson with Historic Contract

The Baker Mayfield era is over in Cleveland. After a tumultuous week, the franchise signed troubled quarterback Deshaun Watson. The former Texan did not play the season last year after 22 women accused him of sexual misconduct; however, a judge threw out the case last week, opening the door for the move. The contract is for five years and $230 million, with every dollar fully guaranteed, the highest guaranteed salary in history.

The Gamecocks are the odds-on favorites to win the women’s NCAA tournament at +250, according to the Fan Duel Sportsbook. And one of the team’s players is set to demonstrate her talents both on and off the court. Guard Zia Cooke is dropping her first single as an NFT. The collectible activates not only the song, but also exclusive BTS footage from South Carolina’s storied season.
