Rihanna’s Savage X Fenty Brand Eyes IPO at Reported $3B Valuation

Rihanna fans may need to wait a while for new music, but the Barbadian songstress and entrepreneur has hardly been resting in her time outside the recording booth. The New York Post reports that Rihanna is mulling an IPO of her wildly successful Savage X Fenty lingerie brand at a reported $3 billion valuation. The brand has enlisted Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley as it explores its next steps. 

Drama Continues Amid the Chelsea Sale

On Thursday, UK officials froze Roman Abramovich’s assets due to his close ties to Putin, effectively halting the sale of Chelsea. Barclays followed suit on Friday, suspending the Russian billionaire’s accounts. In turn, this let to the stall of ticket sales, player and employee payment, and many other financial snafus. However, the deadline for the sale was extended, putting it back on track to be one of the highest value sports transactions in history. 

Bored Ape Yacht Club Creator Acquires Cryptopunks and Meebits

The NFT world got a real shake up on Friday. Yuga Labs, the creator of the Bored Ape Yacht Club, acquired Cryptopunks and Meebits. Together, the three collections are some of the hottest digital commodities on the market combining for nearly $2.5 billion in trade volume since their respective launches. With the move, Yuga Labs has expressed plans to bring the collections to market with IRL goods and productions, the same way it has done with BAYC.

Charles Oakley Stands Up to Hunger 

The last enforcer is back. Charles Oakley, who is a well-renowned cook himself, combined his love for culinary practices and protecting those around him with his newest endeavor: Oak Out Hunger. The initiative kicked off on Friday in NYC, with the first stop on his multi-city tour to address food insecurity, and is expected to provide over 60,000 meals. 

AEG Launches new NFT Project in Collaboration with Autograph

Festival season is upon us, and one major organizer is looking to change the game. AEG announced that it is partnering with Tom Brady-backed Autograph to provide a collection of NFT offerings to its upcoming circuit of events. At the BUKU Festival, scheduled to take place in New Orleans later this month, there will be a graffiti auction, which will include custom NFTs of pieces created at the event.
