MNF Matchup Suspended after Damar Hamlin Experiences Cardiac Event

It was a terrifying moment in Cincinnati on Monday. Bills safety Damar Hamlin experienced what has been confirmed as a cardiac arrest on the field during the MNF matchup between the Bills and the Bengals. Emergency services administered CPR and revived Hamlin. He was taken to the UC Medical Center where he remains in critical condition. The game was called off, and Buffalo returned home on Monday night, though some players remained in Cincinnati to be close to Hamlin. Overnight, a GoFundMe page that Hamlin started for his Chasing M Foundation’s Community Toy Drive yielded more than $3 million in donations.

SZA Holds Onto Billboard No. 1 Spot for Third Consecutive Week

SZA is kicking off 2023 right where she closed out 2022 – on top of the Billboard charts. The singer’s sophomore effort, SOS, remained in the number one spot, moving the equivalent of 128,000 units to round out the year. She becomes the first female artist since Beyoncé’s 2013 self-titled Beyoncé to take the honor three weeks in a row. Avatar: The Way of Water is well on its way to the $2 billion in ticket sales required to cut its losses. After just over two weeks in the theaters, the film has amassed over $1.4 billion in revenue, making it the 14th highest-grossing film of all time.
