Pusha T Unveiled as Louis Vuitton’s Newest Ambassador 

The Pharrell Williams era continues to boom at Louis Vuitton. The luxury fashion house announced his longtime musical collaborator Pusha T is its newest ambassador, Women’s Wear Daily announced on Monday. Since Williams’ takeover as the creative director of Louis Vuitton, King Push has been riding strong in his support, taking the runway for his first two collections and unveiling a new song, “Birds Can’t Sing,” at the brand’s SS25 show in Paris last month.

Paul Skenes Makes MLB History with All-Star Selection, Headlines 32 First-timers

The best in baseball are headed to Arlington, TX for the 2024 MLB All-Star Game. Ahead of the big game, Paul Skenes continued his historic rookie run. The Pirates standout locked in an All-Star selection and became the first player in history to achieve the honor in the season following his No. 1 draft selection. Skenes headlined a lengthy list of first-time selections, as 32 players across the league got the call for the first time in their careers. The All-Star Game will take place on July 16.

'Despicable Me 4' Posts Huge Holiday Debut with $122.6M Domestic Opening

The heatwave gripping the nation sent many running for the movies this holiday weekend and animated films were the runaway favorites. Despicable Me 4 took the top spot at the domestic box office, posting a $122.6 million five-day debut and garnering glowing reviews. It also cleared $75 million for the three-day total. The staggering debut for the Illumination and Universal film puts the fourth installment in the No. 2 spot for the popular franchise, as Despicable Me 2 opened during the same weekend in 2013 to a total of $143 million. Inside Out 2 slipped to the No. 2 spot, adding to its billion-dollar busting numbers with an additional $30 million over the three-day period.

Saks Fifth Avenue to Purchase Neiman Marcus, Amazon to Join the Deal

After years of discussions, Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus are set to merge. The two fashion favorites announced that Saks’ parent company HBC has reached a deal worth $2.65 billion. Amazon will be part of the merger, facilitating “innovations on behalf of customers and brand partners following the close of the transaction” and also helping to revamp the online shopping experience, according to a release.

Missy Elliott Kicks off First-ever Headlining Tour, Unveils LA Event 

Missy Elliott is taking her talents on the road this summer for her first-ever headlining tour. “Out of This World – The Missy Elliott Experience” kicked off in Vancouver to a sold-out audience. Now, the icon announced that she will host a free event entitled “Missy Elliott Presents Party on the Plaza: An Out of This World Experience” on July 10 in Los Angeles. The pop up corresponds with her shows at the Crypto.com Arena, which are scheduled for July 11 and 12. The event will mark a celebration of the LA dance community and will include an appearance from Elliott herself and a “can’t miss surprise.”

John Cena Announces Upcoming WWE Retirement

John Cena is preparing for his last lap in the WWE. The wrestler and actor announced in a press conference over the weekend that he will step away from the ring at the end of 2025, putting an end to his nearly 25-year career. He will round out his career with 30-40 appearances in 2025, which will include the upcoming  Royal Rumble, Elimination Chamber, and WrestleMania events. The 16-time world champion said,  “Let’s do something that can bring all of us together. They’ll write the stories, and we’ll execute the best we can.”

Taylor Swift Approaches a New Record with 11th Week at No. 1 on Billboard 200 

Taylor Swift is positioned to break yet another of her lengthy list of records. The singer’s most recent studio album The Tortured Poets Department maintained the top spot on the Billboard 200 for the 11th consecutive week, tying her sustained reign with 1989 and Fearless. Additionally, the accomplishment marks her 80th week at No. 1 encompassing 14 albums, which is a record for all solo artists.
