Patrick Mahomes scooped his second Super Bowl MVP honor, capping a major week for the Kansas City star who also took home the season’s MVP. Mahomes went 21 for 27 for 182 yards and three touchdowns on the way to his second title in four years.

Brands shelled out north of $7 million for a primetime spot at this year’s Super Bowl. Rihanna staged her own Fenty ad during her halftime performance, pulling out a compact to freshen up mid-set. Meanwhile, FanDuel attempted something new as Rob Gronkowski kicked a field goal on live television, allowing bettors to wager alongside him. However, the real-time kick fell short.

The Kansas City Chiefs were underdogs heading into Sunday’s Super Bowl match-up. Regardless, many people weren’t picking against Mahomes and the boys. Drake counted himself among the bettors who let it ride on KC, placing a $700,000 bet. The 38-35 win resulted in a $777,000 payout.

De La Soul changed the hip-hop game. The group introduced a new style of lyrical flow that has been mimicked by countless acts through the years. However, the group lost one of its core members this weekend as David Jolicoeur, best known as Trugoy the Dove, passed away after a long battle with congestive heart failure. Recently, De La Soul has re-entered the cultural soundtrack as they prepare to make the leap to streaming services for the first time next month.

‘Magic Mike 3’ Tops Weak Weekend at the Box Office

Channing Tatum and the fellas are back for a third installment of Magic Mike. Magic Mike’s Last Dance hit theaters over the weekend and brought in $8.2 million, putting it on top of the box office. Despite the accolade, it is the lowest opening weekend for the franchise; however, The Hollywood Reporter notes that the film is only playing in 1,550 theaters across the US. It also opened 18 global markets, bringing the total net to $18.6 million.

Cardi B and Offset know a thing or two about love. Now, the rap royalty couple is curating their favorite meal for McDonald’s. The duo followed in the footsteps of Travis Scott, Saweetie, and more, by working with the Golden Arches. The Cardi B and Offset Meal will include quarter-pounders, cheeseburgers, fries, and an apple pie. The meal also comes with a Valentine’s Day card, making it a one-stop shop for all of your gift-giving needs.
