Diddy Reinstates Publishing Rights to Former Bad Boy Artists

Diddy has made music history yet again. The Bad Boy boss announced that he will reassign publishing rights to former artists and producers who released music under the Bad Boy umbrella. Artists include Ma$e, The Lox, Faith Evans, and the estate of The Notorious B.I.G. A source discussed Diddy’s Inspiration for the move, telling Variety“Combs sees it as part of a broader goal of promoting economic empowerment for Black artists and culture.” Diddy is set to release The L.O.V.E. Album: Off the Gridhis first album since 2006’s Press Play, on Sept. 15.

Tiafoe, Gauff, Keys, and Shelton Make US Open History

Things are heating up in Queens. As we enter the quarterfinals, four Americans have made history. For the first time in the US Open era, four Black Americans have advanced to the quarterfinals. In the men’s bracket, Frances Tiafoe and Ben Shelton join Coco Gauff and Madison Keys on the women’s side advanced to the quarterfinals.

Domestic Box Office Summer Total Boosts Over $4 Billion

This summer was a huge one for the box office. For the first time since before the pandemic, the box office revenue total eclipsed $4 billion. Barbie topped all earners with $612 million, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Oppenheimer, and The Little Mermaid rounded out the top five. The figures reflect North American box office totals tallied between May and August.

Breanna Stewart Unveils 'Stewie 2 Fire'

We are hading into the final two weeks of the WNBA regular season. As the playoffs approach, Breanna Stewart joins the ranks of players debuting their newest footwear as they compete for the championship trophy. Stewie unveiled the ‘Stewie 2 Fire,’ the newest colorway of his Puma signature shoe. The debut comes on the heels of the drop Sabrina Ionescu‘s Nike Sabrina 1s. The Stewie 2 Fire comes out on Sept. 9 and will retail for $125.

SZA's 'Snooze' Boosts Return to Top 5 on Billboard Top 200

SZA is back on top. Her sophomore effort SOS spent 10 consecutive weeks at the No. 1 spot of the Billboard 200 from late 2022 to earlier this year. Upon releasing the album’s most recent single ‘Snooze,’ SZA is back in the No. 5 spot. Travis Scott’s Utopia dropped to the second spot after spending four weeks at the No. 1, where it was overtaken by rising country star, Zach Bryan.

Duke Takes Down No. 9 Clemson for Top 10 Win Since 1989

They’re dancing in Durham. The Blue Devils routed the No. 9 Clemson Tigers 28-7 to capture their first top-10 win since 1989. The victory capped off a huge first full weekend of college football. The weekend also saw Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes beat the No. 17 TCU Horned Frogs 45-42 in his primetime debut.
