Nicki Minaj Makes Billboard History with Third No. 1 Album

Nicki Minaj’s run as the best-selling female rapper continues. The Barbz showed up for their queen, running Pink Friday 2 to the top of the Billboard 200. The album is her third Number 1, which sets a new record for female rappers, taking her past Foxy Brown. She also became the first female rapper to post No. 1s in two decades.

Meek Mill-led Efforts Bring Probation Reform in Pennsylvania

Since his own release from prison, Meek Mill has become a fierce advocate for criminal justice reform. The Philadelphia rapper joined Governor Josh Shapiro to announce the probation reform measures, which will temper the effects of probation violations on an individual’s jail time. Shapiro said, “We all learned from Meek’s case because it shined a light on the injustices in our probation system … How someone could be sentenced to prison for years for not committing a crime, but for just a technical violation of a long probation.”

Off-White is returning to the Swoosh. The Virgil Abloh-founded brand is posed to drop two pairs of the Air Terra Forma. Traditionally, the Off-Whites have positioned themselves as some of the most coveted collabs for the Swoosh. In addition to the shoes, there will be a seven item selection of new gear in the capsule, which is set to drop on Dec. 21.

Millions of Dollars in NFTs Stolen in NFT Trader Hack

While the peak days of NFT acquisitions may be behind us, the digital collectibles are still priced at a premium. Over the weekend, NFT Trader was the target of a major hack and at least 13 Mutant Apes, Bored Ape tokens, Vee Friends, and other coveted digital goods were targeted. In total over $3 million in collectibles were compromised.

‘Wonka’ Brings in Over $92M Globally in Opening Weekend

Timothée Chalomet revisits a classic in his newest film, which has global audiences coming out in drones. Wonka brought in $39 million domestically during its US debut. However, the film had a global head start, opening early in Australia and Europe. After a strong $53.1 million global tally over the weekend, the total box office haul to date eclipsed $151 million.
