Gunna Released After Entering Guilty Plea

Gunna is a free man following his May arrest on racketeering charges. The news comes after he submitted a guilty plea; however, the rapper maintains his innocence, citing his desire to “end his personal ordeal.” He continues to staunchly oppose any sort of collaboration with prosecutors. In a statement, Gunna reiterated that YSL – the group with which he’s been affiliated since 2016 – is not a gang, but rather a collective of entertainers and creators.

Naomi Osaka, Patrick Mahomes Get in the Game with Major League Pickleball

Naomi Osaka and Patrick Mahomes are the two most recent athletes to join forces with Major League PickleballForbes has reported. The two have teamed up with Nick Kyrgios and Rich Paul as the owners of a new franchise. The city affiliation for Osaka and Mahomes’ team has not yet been revealed. They join Tom Brady, Drew Brees, Kevin Durant, Kim Clijsters, Gary Vee, and more as owners in the fledgling league.

The lifestyle brand collaborated with executive producers Shawn “Pecas” Costner, Steve Bartels, and Hannah Storm for a six-part docuseries on Hulu. Storm also serves as the director. The episodes spotlight the brand’s co-founders Earl Cooper and Olajuwon Ajanaku and their vision for the future of the sport.

LVMH Head Bernard Arnault Becomes World's Richest Man

Elon Musk‘s Twitter takeover has been anything but smooth. Now, it appears that his purchase has begun to affect his personal bottom line. LVMH boss Bernard Arnault replaced Musk as the world’s richest man. Arnault is worth a reported $171 billion, with Musk slipping to No. 2 at $164 billion. The news comes as Tesla stock reached its lowest share price since 2020. Musk also sold off 22 million shares for $3.6 billion.

NWSL Report Shows High Rates of Misconduct Throughout the League

In a follow-up to the October investigation by Sally Yates for U.S. Soccer, the NWSL and NWSLPA released a second report, highlighting deeper issues throughout the league’s franchises that directly affect player safety and well-being. The report indicates an alarming rate of misconduct at the “vast majority” of teams throughout the league. NWSL commissioner Jessica Berman released a statement in response to the findings, saying, “This report clearly reflects how our league systemically failed to protect our players.”

Netflix Releases Teaser for Upcoming "BREAK POINT" Series

Move over Drive to Survive, there’s a new sports doc series coming to Netflix. The hit Formula 1 show has inspired a new crop of programming that takes fans behind the scenes of their favorite sport and introduce a different side of its biggest stars. BREAK POINT is the most recent of these and is set for a Jan. 13 premiere. The show will highlight some of the biggest names in men’s and women’s tennis, including Nick Kyrgios, Paula Badosa, Sloane Stephens, and Matteo Berrettini.
