Astros Advance to ALCS Following 18-Inning Battle

The Houston Astros are heading to the American League Championship Series. In order to get there, however, they had to outlast the Seattle Mariners in an 18-inning marathon game. With the 1-0 win, which came on a homer from Jeremy Peña. With the win, Houston makes its sixth consecutive appearance in the ALCS. The Mariners put up an epic fight, but could not secure the win during the team’s first appearance in the MLB Playoffs in 21 years.

Jack Harlow Lands SNL Hosting Gig

Jack Harlow is everywhere these days. Now, the Louisville rapper is headed to Studio 8H where he will do double duty on Oct. 29th’s episode of Saturday Night Live. Harlow is currently on break before heading across the pond for the European leg of his tour. The appearance will be good practice for Harlow’s rendition of Woody Harrelson’s iconic role in White Men Can’t Jump, which will be produced by Blake Griffin and more.

Tennessee Stuns Alabama in Back and Forth Shootout

Good ole Rocky Top. It was a night to remember at Neyland Stadium as the No. 6 Vols continued their first successful season in years. The return of Bryce Young for the Crimson Tide wasn’t enough to lock up the win against their SEC foes, even despite a 455-yard performance. Tennessee outlasted No. 3 Alabama 52-49. With the win, the Vols stayed undefeated on the season as they head into next week’s matchup against UT-Martin.

Deontay Wilder Lands Single Blow for Quick Knockout

Deontay Wilder says he’s back. The American boxer stunned a crowd at the Barclays Center on Saturday night, taking home a win in his first fight since 2019. Wilder swiftly knocked out Robert Helenius, bringing his career record to 43-2-1. Even more impressive, Wilder’s career wins are fueled by 42 knockouts. Wilder landed a devastating right blow in the first round to take out Helenius, marking the official start of his comeback campaign.
