Warriors, Knicks, Lakers Lead the Way in NBA Team Valuations

The average NBA team is worth $3.85 billion, a 35% jump from a year ago and 75% higher than in 2019, according to Forbes. So, what are the top five most valuable franchises? Remaining at the top are the Golden State Warriors ($7.7 billion), followed by the New York Knicks ($6.6 billion) and the Los Angeles Lakers ($6.4 billion). Rounding out the top five are the Boston Celtics ($4.7 billion) and the LA Clippers ($4.65 billion), respectively. Wondering where the defending champions are? Out of the 30 franchises, the Denver Nuggets rank 15th, with a valuation of $3.37 billion.

Amazon Beats Revenue Expectations in Q3 Earnings Report

Amazon‘s revenue climbed 13% in the third quarter, the company announced Thursday in its Q3 report, beating analysts’ expectations for revenue and earnings. Amazon reported a revenue of $143.1 billion, up from the $141.4 billion expected. The company is already tracking toward the fourth quarter, which includes the pivotal holiday period, saying it expects sales to be between $160 billion and $167 billion. For reference, Q4 in 2022 brought in $149.2 billion.

The 'Always Sunny' Gang's Four Walls Whiskey Partners with Wrexham AFC

Earlier this month, the stars of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia unveiled Four Walls Whiskey, the group’s new Irish-American Whiskey Brand. On Thursday, Rob McElhenney, Glenn Howerton, and Charlie Day announced that Four Walls is officially sponsoring Wrexham AFC, the Welsh soccer club owned by McElhenney and fellow actor Ryan Reynolds. Formed in 1864, Wrexham AFC is the oldest in Wales and competes in EFL League Two, the fourth level of the English football league system. Although Four Walls is not widely available in the UK yet, supporters stateside in Pennsylvania, New York, Florida, and California will see the spirit start to hit shelves over the coming weeks.

De’Aaron Fox Signs with Curry Brand, Becomes First Signature NBA Athlete

Sacramento Kings star De’Aaron Fox has inked a multiyear footwear and apparel endorsement deal with Stephen Curry‘s Curry Brand, a subsidiary of Under Armour. In this partnership, Fox will also be designing and releasing his own Curry Brand signature basketball sneaker. “Words really can’t describe the excitement that I have bringing my own influence and perspective to this partnership alongside Stephen, Under Armour, and Curry Brand,” Fox said. “I can’t wait to show the world what’s next for Curry Brand.” The forthcoming shoe is slated to drop sometime during the Fall 2024 launch window.

Beyoncé to Debut Concert Film in Los Angeles & London Ahead of Global Release

Before Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé arrives in theatres worldwide on Dec. 1, Beyoncé will hold two premieres for the concert film in Los Angeles and London. Per The Hollywood Reporter, the Queen will step out for the US premiere on Nov. 25 and the world premiere in London on Nov. 30. Although tickets were previously only on sale in North America, it was also confirmed on Thursday that cinemas across the globe will also air the film on Dec. 1. Beyoncé announced the news by sharing a new official poster on Instagram. Locations haven’t been revealed for the premieres, but the London invite notes the dress code as “formal opulence.” LA officials instruct attendees to be in “Cozy opulence” — a nod to Bey’s song “Cozy” from Renaissance.

Taylor Swift, SZA, The Weeknd Among Most-nominated for 2023 Billboard Music Awards

The nominations for the 2023 Billboard Music Awards are here, and Taylor Swift unsurprisingly reigns supreme with 20 nods across 69 categories. Trailing behind her are SZA and Morgan Wallen, who each picked up a total of 17 nominations. As for The Weeknd, he could potentially win 16 awards. Swift holds the record for the most BBMAs for a female artist, with a total of 29 wins. At this year’s ceremony, she could break Drake’s all-time record of 34 trophies. Speaking of Aubrey Graham, he earned 14 nominations himself. The winners of the 2023 BBMAs will be announced on Nov. 19.
