Ahead of Shanghai Fashion Week beginning Wednesday, Moncler announced a diverse group of creators to help usher in the brand’s new chapter of its Genius project, headlined by A$AP Rocky, Willow Smith, and Donald Glover. Coined “The City of Genius,” the physical presentation is set for Oct. 19, the final day of Fashion Week, and will introduce a “metropolis of immersive experiences.” In addition to A$AP Rocky, Smith, and Glover, Hiroshi Fujiwara and Nigo are both lending their craft for the project, while Rick Owens and Jil Sander will boast “special showcases of creativity.”

USC women’s basketball star JuJu Watkins and Nike have agreed to a multi-year extension, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania. Officials from the sportswear company concluded talks with the sophomore guard’s team at Klutch Sports on Tuesday, with Charania reporting it as “one of the richest shoe endorsement deals in women’s basketball.” Watkins first inked a Nike contract as a high school senior in October 2022. For her first season in LA, Watkins helped lead USC to an Elite Eight appearance after going 29-6 and winning a Pac-12 Tournament title.

The Miami Heat are honoring legendary head coach and team president Pat Riley by renaming their court after him. Per the Monday announcement, the Heat will now play on “Pat Riley Court at Kaseya Center,” and any other future courts will also bear Riley’s name. The unveiling ceremony is scheduled for opening night on Oct. 23. Riley was the head coach for the 2006 team that won its very first NBA championship and was team president for the NBA Finals wins in 2012 and 2013. “Naming the court after me would have made my parents very proud. It is a great, great honor for myself, Chris, and my family,” said Riley.

Kering named Stefano Cantino the new Chief Executive Officer of Gucci on Tuesday. Slated to assume the role on Jan. 1, Cantino succeeds Jean-François Palus and will have a seat on Kering’s Executive Committee. Cantino joined the Italian fashion house in May as Deputy CEO after five years at Louis Vuitton, where he was Head of Image and Communications.

Tennis great Billie Jean King has been named Grand Marshal of the 2025 Rose Parade scheduled for Jan. 1, the Pasadena Tournament of Roses announced. King was introduced Monday during a ceremony at Tournament House in Pasadena, walking in to Elton John’s “Philadelphia Freedom,” a song he wrote in her honor. The Associated Press says King will ride the 5 ½-mile route down Colorado Boulevard and, later that day, participate in the coin flip for the 111th Rose Bowl football game.

A group of actors credited for playing presidents and vice presidents is the subject of a new documentary from filmmaker Josh Greenbaum. According to Deadline, Playing POTUS features interviews with Dana Carvey, whose impressions include Joe Biden, George H.W. Bush, and Bill Clinton, and Maya Rudolph, who this season reprised her role as VP Kamala Harris on Saturday Night Live. Also included in the upcoming project are Alec Baldwin (Pres. Donald Trump), Will Ferrell (Pres. George W. Bush), Jay Pharoah (Pres. Obama), Keegan-Michael Key (Pres. Obama), and more. The outlet notes the film will “tackle the uniquely American tradition of presidential parody, a bold art form that has transformed our perceptions of real-world presidents and politicians for the past 60 years.” 

During what was already a busy summer for the star, Variety exclusively reported that Charli XCX also secretly filmed her debut acting role in director Pete Ohs’ forthcoming drama ERUPCJA. The Polish word for “eruption,” the movie is set in Warsaw and chronicles the “combustible relationship” between two women, one an unnamed Polish woman (Lena Góra) and the other a tourist named Bethany (Charli XCX). The “Apple” singer said Ohs’ approach to making the film “felt akin to making an album, and the chance meeting also felt equivalent to the conversational and spontaneous nature of his filmmaking.”

A couple of England football players are the face of Burberry’s new ‘It’s Always Burberry Weather’ campaign, highlighted by a nine-minute video of Chelsea star Cole Palmer fishing. Crystal Palace midfielder Eberechi Eze and Palmer are joined by actor Barry Keoghan, model Cara Delevingne, rapper Little Simzb, and Oscar-winning actress Olivia Colman as they sport comfortable outerwear perfect for darker days and colder temperatures. Each lead gets their own short film that puts them at the center of their favorite activities, from an afternoon in the countryside to cozying up by the fire.
