Fronting the campaign is Seinfeld alum Jason Alexander, and pieces include statement jackets, headgear, and equipment like baseball mitts. The Kith for the New York Yankees capsule drops globally on Friday at 11 a.m. EST on Kith’s website.
Instagram Celebrates 3B Users, Announces App Updates
Instagram celebrated reaching 3 billion monthly active users on Wednesday, and in acknowledging this milestone, head of Instagram Adam Mosseri unveiled new changes coming to the social media platform. The first adjustment comes to the home screen navigation bar to highlight private messaging and Reels. Another change will give users more control over their content algorithm by allowing them to select or hide topics based on their interests.
MLB Approves ABS System for 2026 Season
MLB’s 11-man competition committee approved Tuesday the use of the automated ball/strike system in pro baseball, beginning with the 2026 season. The release clarifies that human plate umpires will still call balls and strikes; however, teams can challenge up to two calls per game, and will receive additional appeals in extra innings. Pitchers, catchers, and batters authorize the challenges by tapping their helmet or cap; a team retains its challenge if successful.

Black Women’s Player Collective to Host Inaugural National Soccer Showcase
The first-ever national showcase in the U.S. to spotlight top-ranked Black female soccer players is coming to Texas this fall. Organized by the Black Women’s Player Collective in partnership with Black Star and Allstate, the clinic will be held from Nov. 22-25 at Prairie View A&M, an HBCU in Texas. In attendance will be 20-30 top-performing Black players from high schools across the nation, gaining exposure to top-tier coaches, scouts, and agents. The list of participants will be shared at a later date.
Kelce Brothers Taking ‘New Heights’ Podcast to Amazon Prime
Select episodes from Jason and Travis Kelce’s widely popular New Heights podcast will be available to view on Amazon Prime, including their recent interview with Taylor Swift, who announced her new album on their hit show. New Heights joins other Wondery programs already on Amazon Prime, including Baby, this is Keke Palmer, as well as Mind the Game, the podcast hosted by LeBron James that launched in April.
Jay Ellis Becomes Latest to Join Mindy Kaling’s Comedy on Hulu
Jay Ellis is the latest to join the cast of Hulu’s upcoming comedy series Not Suitable for Work, created by Mindy Kaling. The program follows five ambitious twenty-somethings as they navigate career and personal life in Manhattan’s upscale Murray Hill. Ellis, who will portray investment banker Bill Gibson, joins a roster that includes Ella Hunt, Avantika, Will Angus, Jack Martin, and Nicholas Duvernay. This also marks Ellis’ second collaboration with Kaling, following his role in Netflix’s Running Point.

Registration for pre-sale access is now open on the MLB website, although the official ticket sale date has not yet been released.
Aaliyah Tops Billboard’s Adult R&B Chart for First Time
More than 20 years after her passing, Aaliyah has earned her first No. 1 on Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart with “Gone,” featuring Tank. The track jumped to the top spot on the Sept. 27 list following a 23% increase in radio plays. This marks Aaliyah’s first No. 1 on the chart after 14 entries, surpassing her previous peak at No. 4 with “At Your Best (You Are Love)” in 1994.
