Martin Scorsese to Direct Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence in ‘What Happens at Night’
The legendary Martin Scorsese will direct a film adaptation of What Happens at Night, a ghost story novel by Peter Cameron, starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence. Apple Original Films and Studiocanal are in talks to finance and produce the project, with Patrick Marber adapting the screenplay. The story follows an American couple who travel to a mysterious snowy European city to adopt a child, where they soon find out that “Nothing is as it seems.”
‘Taylor Swift: The Official Release Party of a Showgirl’ to Hit Theaters in October
Taylor Swift is heading back to theaters to celebrate the release of her upcoming album The Life of a Showgirl, out Oct. 3. From Oct. 3-5, fans can attend a special release party featuring the world premiere of the music video for her new single “The Fate of Ophelia,” exclusive behind-the-scenes footage, in-depth commentary, and new lyric videos. Tickets for the event will be $12.
A’ja Wilson, Napheesa Collier Top the List of WNBA MVP Finalists

Considered more of a showdown between Collier and Wilson, both women put on their fair share of standout performances during the regular season. The Aces beat the Seattle Storm last night to set up a semis showdown against the Indiana Fever while the Lynx swept the Valkyries and await their semis opponent, which will be decided tonight when the Phoenix Mercury host the New York Liberty in a winner-takes-all game.
RAYE to Headline Halftime Show at the First 2025 NFL London Game
The NFL confirmed Friday that RAYE will headline the halftime show at the 2025 NFL London Games matchup between the Minnesota Vikings and the Cleveland Browns on Oct. 5 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Ahead of the game, Pixie Lott will perform the English National Anthem, “God Save the King.”

Adidas, Patrick Mahomes’ ‘Gladiator’ Logo Debuts on High School Football Fields Tonight
In May, Adidas and Patrick Mahomes announced plans to outfit 15 high school football programs with custom uniforms featuring Mahomes’ “Gladiator” logo. Tonight, teams from Liberty, Missouri to his alma mater in Whitehouse, Texas, will kick off with these bespoke jerseys. All teams are current Adidas partners and nine of the selected schools have won a state championship in the past seven years.
Asake Takes the Red Bull Symphonic Stage in NYC on Nov 8
For one night only on Nov. 8, Afrobeats sensation Asake will headline a Red Bull Symphonic concert at Kings Theatre in Brooklyn. Glenn Alexander II will serve as conductor and Anthony Parnther, who handled the arrangement for Red Bull Symphonic’s 2023 show with Metro Boomin, will reprise his role and also serve as orchestra consultant. Octavia Spencer is reuniting with her The Help co-star Jessica Chastain on Deck the Y’alls, a holiday comedy written by Girls Trip screenwriter Tracy Oliver and Stefanie Williams. Wanda Sykes also joins the cast and Variety writes the film will begin shooting next year and is produced by Sandbox Studios, Spencer’s ORIT Entertainment, Chastain’s Freckle Films, and Sony Music Vision.
